No I can keep up. Your rearend hurts that Ashland hired Johnnie Lemaster as their baseball coach. I also know a few things about the high school coach hiring process. Lemaster had the best resume and most experience. Once a head coach is hired, they fill out their staff. You don't like that but that's cool. Nobody is going to change the process because of you.

Some in this thread act like they are close to the situation. Maybe not close to the program but either way there are some childish posts by those "in the know" that are doing nothing to help the program. I forgot you know all. But what I do know is that while reading your posts, I'm embarrassed for the program. You have said absolutely nothing positive for the program. You obviously have an agenda as much as you like to deny it.

Well it's official, those "close" to the program are doing nothing but giving the school and baseball team a bad look. They preach that they want what's best for the kids but then come in and make the whole program look foolish by acting like a small child. It's really quite sad. I know nothing about Ashland but I wish them well. However, if it wasn't for being around BGP for a few years and learning how to detect those with agendas or those that are a few screws loose, I would think very poorly of the program based on the posting of some here. It's rather embarrassing.

They scrimmaged Anderson of Ohio but I do not know how that turned out. Not sure about anything else scheduled. I do know they are not participating in Soccerama.

I can't believe this debate is still going on. Just give the coach and his staff a chance.

It was Jay Johnson from Dixie and he never made it to the MLB. In 2008 he started the season with AA Portland. A few weeks into the season, he rounded first on his way to second for what should've been a stand up double. Instead, when he hit first, he blew his Achilles. The next year (2009) Jay played for the Florence Freedom in his final year playing baseball.

Graham did. I believe he graduated 2002. Made his debut in 2009.

Don't know when Luebbers was but David Justice. He was born in Cincinnati but went to Cov Latin.

So SK has apparently been getting faster and more balanced every year for the last 6 years but still haven't gotten anywhere. It's a scrimmage. Who cares who wins. Both teams will work on different things, including things they may never do in a game the rest of the year. My prediction is this though: If SK "wins", we'll never hear the end of how they beat X. If X "wins", we'll be told it was just a scrimmage and it doesn't matter as SK was just working on things.

No way there is 800 or 900 per class. Probably like 350-400.

Plate umpire did a good job keeping his cool during his walk over to the bench, that's for sure. I've seen umpires lose their cool over less. Definitely an A+ job by the umpires in that situation. And for those that say the pitch was a strike, how can you tell? I've watched the video 10+ times and I can't tell. Maybe I am blind but it could be the fact that I am shielded by the catcher and umpire. What I do see is the catcher bring the ball back quite a bit ("framing"). When I see catchers frame a pitch, it normally tells me the pitch wasn't a strike to begin with.

No more candidates. Just Johnnie Lemaster, the new coach. Most of the time you never hear the full list of candidates as schools keep those quiet. Some of the people applying have a job already and the schools don't want to put their name in public so that they are protected some.

I was told that as of last night it was untrue but we shall see.

I have no idea who Dwight Walter is and by all accounts, he's a very good coach. But what if a candidate applies that is maybe a bit better coach (that's not a knock on Coach Walter btw)? Should they be excluded just because they don't have that history with the program? I agree having a history can help as you know what you are getting but to say that Coach Walter is the only choice because of that history is a bit unfair to other qualified candidates.
