That's about as busch league as it gets on so many levels, starting with the parents in the stands & the coach. The pitcher & catcher too, obviously, but they're not nearly as culpable as the "adults" here.

I really wanted that camera to turn to the left as the ump walked to the 3rd base dugout.

Can't do anything about the mouths in the stands unless they make it personal towards a player I guess. No doubt this was called by the coach. I'm not an ump but I would assume he goes over to the bench, voices his displeasure of what happened and warns them that the coach, pitcher and catcher will be tossed if it happens again. Later, files his report and tries to get a copy of the tape (if possible), and submits all to the league. I'm all for letting an umpire know he MAY have made a mistake but there are ways to do it without assaulting the man/woman.

(And we wonder why we have less folks wanting to umpire, referee or officiate.)

After watching this again, did the second base umpire toss the catcher and/or pitcher? He motions to the catcher and she starts walking to her dugout.

You toss the coach, the pitcher and the catcher. Seems simple to me. Ump knew it was coming.

Field ump shouts that it was intentional & calls the game.

Coach, pitcher and catcher get tossed, and I would try to see that they were suspended.

Ahh, good for him. I thought he had called something, just wasn't sure.

Correct

Poor decision by the coach, pitcher, and catcher, but....

The home plate umpire is cheating for some reason. That called ball four pitch was not on the corner, it was right down the middle of the plate. It was not letter high or knee high, it was belt high.

For the umpire who has any experience calling a game to call that pitch ball four, he has a hidden agenda and is cheating.

Glad you had a better view than he did.

Why in the world would anyone EVER justify malicious actions such as this one by the coach catcher and pitcher. No matter where the prior pitch was(which the catcher pulled in and up at least 6 inches from where she caught it), it is never right to intentionally hit anyone, much less the umpire.

Secondly, umpires are human too. Theyis pitches just like pitchers miss their spot, hitters miss on a swing or fielders no dot a ground ball. Doesn't mean they are intentionally doing so to screw one team or the other over.

Cheating? Really?

Belt high is a stretch. The catcher framed that pitch big time.

This game took place on October 5th, 2013. Here is the thread....http://bluegrasspreps.com/ky-softball-high/umpires-267000.html
