Cov Cath dressed four freshman last year for varsity. Of those four, not one has made a major contribution: Leo Schaffer - Tore labrum 3rd day of two-a-days. Was projected to be one of the starting OLBs at the beginning of the season. Mitchell Wendling - Tore ACL and two menisci 30 minutes into first two-a-days. Wendling was projected to get a great deal of varsity PT after showing treamendous work ethic in the off-season, missing only two workouts between November-July. Will Torbeck - Had a bad knee during spring ball and summer practices. Played with injury for most of the season. Started against Highlands. Tore PCL during Beechwood game. Mark Jones - Has never gotten any reps due to the number of seniors listed at his position (DE).

I'm thinking either Ronald Cotton or Cory Spalding as the 5th starter for Boone

Yeah Jake is 6'5" His dad is around 6'8" and his mom is 6' or 6'1" He's gonna grow good 3 or 4 more inches.

Coach Ray left before the first half was even over. The one of the greatest Colonel's, Lynn Ray, seemed to have lost all faith in the Colonels.

I was left speechless by these two guys' performances. I couldn't believe what I saw. To quote one of the players on the sidelines, "The moves Pat (Van Sant) is doing aren't gonna be available on Madden until 2012"

Cosby definately showed everyone he could play ball during the spring game. He has a chance to be a starting CB this year.

Josh Friedel just hit a pop fly into right field during a varisty baseball game. He will not be able to transfer to CCH without having to sit out.

Well spring ball looks good as of now. No serious injuries to report of. The best player during spring ball has been Will Deters. He has been absolutely phenomenal(sp?). He is gonna be very good this year. There is an intrasquad scrimmage this Friday at 4 p.m. It is the CCH Blue & White Game. 1st O & 2nd D vs. 1st D & 2nd O It should be a fun game to watch, that is if it isn't raining as projected.
