After all the years of watching IU basketball, Crean is a saint compared to coach Bob Knight. I have yet to see coach Crean throw a chair across the court or puch his son on national TV. Bob Knight once said ,and I quote, "when I die they can lay me face down , and all my critics can kiss my bottom" (Can't use the real word). Even to this day when Knight is announcing the game I'm still waiting for him to explode. As far as Crean goes, he just got caught up in the moment, it has happened to all of us at one time or another. Don't get uptight, I'm a UK fan.

Horshoe Casino kicks lady out of casino , twice. The local lady shared the same name as woman in Cal., so they tell her she has been banned and to leave. They checked her out then said they were "sorry , case of mistaken identity. A couple days later the lady was in the casino and noticed she was being followed by security. They told the lady she had to go to the interview room. Oops, same mistaken identity. Imagine the embarrasment of this casino patron. For her trouble the casino offered her a free baffet, WHAT a Joke!!! WCPO reported this story, I think I got it right. The woman in California had been banned from all Horshoe owned casinos in Vegas.

The only thing I bait is a fish hook. Just wondering when Cardinals Fan is going to start the "Cards are going to beat you up" stuff, like last year.Ryle has a nice program , but Trinity is a lot better match up for Colerain. Should be a great game. My views are my views and should not be taken as views of all Highlands fans. Rumor has it that Colerain loses some nice players to graduation, but Trinity loses more.

Pinnacle owns River Downs and the Beltarra Casino. We have had season reserve seats in the clubhouse for decades. When Pinnacle bought RD, things went down hill fast. The first thing they did was eliminate the xtra large sodas because people would sip on them all day long without the need to purchase more drinks. For years we went there and would buy a bottle of water with a glass of ice on the way in. So one day we went in and bought the bottle of water and the cashier said "2 dollars for the water and 4 dollars for the glass of ice."So I then went to the concession stand in the grandstand, and asked for a glass of ice. The lady said "we can't give you a glass of ice,but if you buy a bottle of water ,you can get the glass of ice free". This is a true story!!! When I got home I wrote a letter about my experience with the glass of ice issue. After a short time the glass of ice was "free" again. Imagine that.

Your play is not stupid,but there are better ways and options. It's your money play like you want to play. I know several high rollers(no pun intended) and they gave me a good strategy. The so called pros told me a good strategy that may not always work to win but can keep you in the game longer before going broke. We will say the min. bet is $10. Bet #10 on the first hand, if you win that hand bet $15 on the next hand , if you win that hand, bet $20 on the next and so on til you lose a hand. After losing a hand start the sequence over again by betting $10 and hope you can get another streak going. Blackjack is a steaky game, you usually win a few in a row then you lose a few in a row .The worst night I have ever had at the BJ table was a few years back, I lost ten hands in a row, but I did not up my bet, so I didn't lose my shirt. I would have changed tables after losing four in a row but the place was packed so I couldn't change tables. Also if you start on a losing streak, your only losing the minimum table limit of $10. Your system will work if you have a big enough bankroll to start with,and can win some hands to keep you going. Good Luck !!!

I'm not sure what you are looking for, maybe accolades for Colerain to play Trinity instead of Ryle? For sure the GCL in Cincy is the cream of the crop, which Colerain isn't a part of.

Just for the people that doesn't know what"surrender " is, you can take back half of your bet(therefor losing half of your bet) after seeing the dealers up card and looking at your own hand,(your hand is now dead).Some surrender all the time and some never surrender, I never surrender. I have talked to regulars that do surrender and asked "how do you know what hand to surrender"? They say they go by their gut feeling,or how the cards are running. My take on surrender is that if the casino is offering it , it can't be to the advantage of the players. Rising Star offers surrender on about half of the BJ tables. I've heard nothing negative about the Horseshoe, any updates?

These cards are helpful but just ask the dealer what to do, they know these cards by heart. These strategy cards say always split aces and eights, even if the dealer has a face card showing. You should always assume that the dealer has a 10 or face card down. So, if the dealer has a card up as a ten, then you assume the dealer has 20,correct. Now, if you split 8"s and get 2 ten value cards, then you have two 18's versus the dealers 20. You are now playing 2 hands ,instead of 1 against the dealers 20. I personally don't split 8"s against the dealers up card if it is a 10 value card or an ace, I just take a hit and hope for the best.I"d rather lose 1 hand to a 20 ,not 2, but that's just me. Playing blackjack basic strategy will put the house edge at 0% to 3%. Try to play single deck, but those tables are rarely seen these days. Basic strategy rules: A) Double down with 10 or 11 against the dealers up card 2-9. B)Stand with 12-16 against a dealers up card of 2-6. C)Hit with 12-16 against a dealers up card of 7-8-9-10 or ace D)Stand on 17-21 (I usually hit on soft 17,ace and 6) no possible way to bust. E) Never take insurance. F) THE BEST GAMBLING TIP OF ALL IS TO KNOW WHEN TO WALK AWAY!!!!!!!! What the thieves and thugs don't realize that if they robbed the gamblers going INTO the casino, they would make more money than to wait on the very few that come out big winners,or even winners of the small time variety.

I think Rising Star in Indiana change it to that you can split aces up to four times.In fact , you can split any pair as many times as you want. Splitting aces not only happens a $5 dollar minimum table, it happens regularly, at ALL tables. This reminds me of a guy and his son sat down at the blackjack table, guy said he was teaching his 21 year old on his 21st birthday how to play the game. His kid got a pair of 5's and his dad told him to split them against a dealer's 6. I believe the thing to do was double down and hope for two 10's against the dealers bust card. Then shortly after that, he had his son to split face cards, another no no.My experience is, if yor going to play blackjack, go to Hollywood, during the week they have 10 dollar tables and on weekends the minimum is usually 15 dollars. There are better gamblers that go to Hollywood from my experience. As far as smoking goes, at Rising Star at the turnstyles ,they stopped a guy for smoking a cigarette on the way in and told him that "this is a no smoking area and they will not give him a ticket THIS TIME. So I'm in the casino playing "let it ride" and this guy smoked the dealer and everybody else out the table while he puffed his pipe for six hours, and not a word was said. Did someone mention security? Hollywood and Rising Star have:thumb: many "over the hill" guards. Don't really think they could stop anybody from doing anything.Inside the casino , you can't get away with much. Just heard they arrested a hooker in the men's bathroom "doing her thing." True but funny!!! Rising Star I have NEVER seen a security person in the parking lot, just the guy driving the shuttle bus, he looks to be about 80 years old. Heard some rumors that "late night at Hollywood's parking garage" is not someplace to hang out. I went to Atlantic City,NJ a while back. Two hookers on every corner and wasn't safe to leave a four block area after dark and SYTAY OFF THE BOARDWALK AT NIGHT!!!!! ( That's all I got.)

I believe that was the year(09) that Cincy X destroyed Lou. X (and Trinity for that matter). Seems like SOME Lou. X fans have a very selective memory when it comes to 09 football. :lol:

Highlands schedule is complete now, except for replacing the Boyle game, right? A program that doesn't know if they have 10 or 11 games scheduled, what's up with that? Smells fishy to me . :popcorn:

Highlands playing BG in 13, would be just winning or losing to another KY team. (We often hear how "others" think about Ky high school football.) Playing a 2A state title team from Florida would have the whole NKY area "rocking" , even the haters might jump on the bandwagon. Win or lose it would show just how far this HHS program has come. Talk about national exposier?

I have a bottle of Bookers ,but have not opened it. It's not for drinking as I have it for collecting puposes,Booker Noe signed it himself at my request , at the JB 200th anniverary party at the distillery. I could be wrong, but I think Booker was the last great grandson of JB that was still alive at that time. I've tasted JB and if I was a drinker, that would be my choice.
