  1. Ryle will not be back soon, playing HHS every year made Ryle a better team. I guess, if wins are more important than playing a quality team, then go for it. What happens when Ryle plays a weaker schedule, then has to play X and T in the playoffs?Travis Elliot deserved every honor he recieved, he has graduated and it's time for Ryle to move on and let go of him. Thats a lot of great things for the Ryle program you posted. The only thing about it is, no state titles. Yea, runner-up is ok, buy do you really want to hang your hat on that? I really do hope the Ryle program rights the ship, and figures out how to bring home a state title. Rome wasn't built in a day. Uniforms, is the least of Ryles concerns right now.
  2. Your kidding, right?:lol::lol: A Ryle fan wanting Highlands to play Trinity after Ryle drops the Birds.:laugh::laugh::laugh:
  3. PP92, you can talk smack with the best of them, well done !!
  4. You must be bored. No reason to be digging up bones from last year. Both threads are similar, now I think your stirring the pot! LOL One good thing about last years thread, Highlands fans were correct about beating Boyle this year. Where is all the Boyle and BG posters? :idunno: Anything in last years post and this years post that is derogatory towards Highlands, you have the big "like" symbol in it. Have you noticed that.
  5. As for your 2nd paragragh, you do realize that Highlands had no say in any of these matters, right?
  6. Thanks for making the Birds a better team. So you wanted BG to end Highlands streak ? Is that because Boyle couldn't do it?
  7. Wow, I guess there isn't much to talk about in Boyle County , so your jumping on the BG bandwagon?
  8. Do you have anything intelligent to add to this thread?
  9. Birds came up short tonight and it was not from lack of effort or preparation. I believe the effort tonight showed the Birds are not afraid of anyone. McCoy is as tuff as a middle linebacker, always takes the hard hits and pops right back up. Harris is built like a fullback and has the speed and cuts like a scat back. Siedel is the fastest frog that I have ever seen running back kickoff returns. All the players on both teams played their hearts out, just like I expected.Refs were letting them play tonight for sure(this is not an excuse), but in my opinion lots of obvious holding calls were missed. I enjoyed watching this game, strictly for the fact that both teams left it all on the field tonight.Anyone that thought this game didn't mean much to Elder, wasn't watching the team reaction of the Elder sideline after a big play. Believe me, Elder was very concerned at halftime with the score tied at 10-10, considering the harbin cow was giving them a fight. I'm a proud Bird fan, even after this loss, just because they played their hearts out and played hard to the end. The Elder Panthers might not put it in the headlines, but after tonight I'm sure they have a lot of respect for the Birds. If your a 4A ky school and hate Highlands, enjoy tonight, especially if you have to play the Birds down the road.
  10. I took your post the wrong way, my bad.
  11. ^ Win or lose injuries should not be used an excuse for any team. Even teams without a lot of depth, the coaches, if their good ones, will have the replacements ready to go. Obviously, the replacements will not have the talent as the first teamer, but will have enough reps to be productive. Perfect example, McCoy taking over for PT in last years Elder game. Schools , especially the ones with large male enrollments will have more replacements for injured starters, but may not have the number of reps that they need to be productive. Right or wrong, that's the way I see it.
  12. No disrespect, but everybody is dinged up at this point in the season.
  13. It's starting already? :ohbrother:
  14. I'd like to see a list of out of state opponents for Colerain from the recent past. I know one, that would be Ryle.
  15. Just by checking the gate reciepts, you can tell the rivalry games. Last Friday at Highlands the place was packed. The next time you will see this, IF, Cov-Cath and HHS meet again in the playoffs. I ran across an old post game interview from a senior on the 09 state title team, here is what he said "It's not a succesful year unless you beat Cov-Cath and win a state championship". "We all expect nothing less than that". I think that quote pretty well answers the question of the rivalry thing.
  16. A double reverse with a 50 yard hail mary describes it better. Yea, it was well executed. Very hard hitting game for both teams, just what I expected.
  17. So far, no rain in southeast Indiana . Plan to stop by and see aunt Bee before the game. Nothing like a trip to the fort on a Friday night. Go Birds !!!
  18. I agree, but would like to add, if the Birds D doesn't get pressure on Bir , it could be a long night for the home team.
  19. Some think home field advantage is hog wash for high school football, but in the fort there is an advantage, the numbers don't lie.
  20. Thanks Birdsfan. Anyone know the win/ loss record of all games played at DCMS? (Ft. Thomas)
