  1. IMO, yes. Simply because they will always be a 2,3, or 4 seed. With a blind draw, they could get to the finals and only have to make one upset to get the region. If they vote to see, they would need to upset two teams.
  2. THEN THE STATE SHOULD CLASSIFY BASKETBALL! Why is that never brought up???????? Why would Dayton/Newport/Bellevue vote to seed? Makes no sense for them to. BTW, the bolded statement above is pretty classy. I know the Bellevue kids are happy to have a chance to play in the Region. They've played hard and improved a ton, so why should they feel ashamed. They've had a pretty good year for them. Why do they not deserve it? Just because they don't play the larger schools? Year in and year out, how is Bellevue/Dayton/Newport supposed to compete with Highlands and NewCath?
  3. If you recall Holmes blew out Dixie in the next round 70 - 42 so it just wasn't Bellevue.
  4. This would not be comparing apples to apples. A great season for Bellevue or Dayton, would not be the same as for NCC or Highlands. So if Bellevue has a great year, but that doesn't include beating Highlands, NCC, or Newport, how does that factor in?
  5. I do not believe the 36th district will ever seed. Until basketball is classified in the State, I think Newport, Bellevue, and Dayton will vote not to seed. Year in and year out, how is Bellevue, Dayton, and Newport supposed to compete with Highlands and NewCath? The bigger questions are, when will the classify basketball, or when will the All 'A' Classic be for class 'A' schools?
  6. Great win by the Tigers. Cooper had beaten them the week before by 13.
  7. I will have to disagree here. I was at a Bellevue game last year and Stamm was up by 34 points in the second half and still pressing!
  8. So it's okay for Dayton to run the score up, but its not okay for Buckler to run the ball in the second half???????? Hummmm. That make sense.
  9. According to the stats on Cincinnati.com, he had 2852 yards on 387 carries and 42 tds this year in 13 games. I believe they were saying that for his career he has a little over 5200 yards and over 500 career points. Crazy numbers when the games that I was at, everyone in the place knew he was getting the ball and still ended up putting up those kind of numbers.
  10. http://cincinnati.com/blogs/preps/2009/11/22/small-town-high-school-football-is-cool/ What a career he had and a great year for the Bellevue Tigers. I've spent a great deal of time with Ricky and he wanted nothing more than to play in the state game. Stats were the last thing on his mind and everytime he was interviewed he always praised everyone else rather than himself. What a great kid and his parents should be very proud of the young man's accomplishments and even more the person that they have raised. Great Job!
  11. According to some of the Frankfort fans I was talking to Friday night, they also said there were several tds called back in the BB game.
  12. Just not sure how you think Frankfort will score more against Bellevue than they did against Brossart. What is your reasoning there?
  13. I heard they played as far as 10 deep and only had 2 seniors.
  14. I heard they have a ton of experience coming back from last year.
  15. Here we go again with the whinning of, 'lets compare schedules and competition'. I'm sure you are referring to someone who plays for a small school. For some reason he never gets respect! Just watch him play! Everyone knows he's getting the ball and he still gets his yards!
  16. 364 yards and 4 tds on 49 carries. Set the school record for career points and most yards in a game at Bellevue. I believe he's about 290 yards away from the career rushing record. Saw him take quit a few shots tonights. What a tough kid!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  17. Well that's because Bellevue doesn't have any tuition students that play sports. I would love to know how many tuition students Beechwood has on a yearly basis that play sports. Does anyone have any figures? :idunno:
  18. #5, do you think he would have gotten 200 if he would have played 4 quarters?:idunno:
  19. Lincoln Adams and Buckler are two totally different players. Buckler is a true football player and Adams was a track star that played football. There are several reasons I would take Buckler. First his 'all out' demeanor to the game. I've never seen a kid play with so much heart. Adams only played running back and Buckler plays running back, safety, punt returner, kickoff retuner, and kicks off. Btw, I can't remember if Adams returned kicks or not but I know he didn't play defense. I know Adams was good and really fast, but he didn't have the moves that Buckler has and couldn't make the cuts that Buckler does. Adams was more of get an opening and out run everybody. So I would take Buckler any day of the week because I think he is more of a complete all-around player. Also I would like to add that I believe Adams had at least another back with him that gained over 600 or 700 yards. Buckler is doing what he is doing when everyone in the stadium knows who is getting the ball and he still puts up numbers. Also, Adams was a great player but I just think we are not comparing apples to apples. Any other comments from the Bellevue Faithful.
  20. Just wondering what BigBen said for Bellevue to use that for motivation? This game is motivation itself. Not sure why people need to get personal on here! He's a great athlete and even better kid.
  21. More than one person can be using a username. Some people do share usernames.
  22. I believe he also had the best block of the night as well!!!!!!!
