Who's the top players in the 9th Region coming into next season?

Ok I think there are several top players cominig in the 9th next season. To name a few; Heather Sandlin and Joscelyn Davis from Boone County. Becah Towles, Katie Allen and Allie Conner from Highlands. Cortney Sandfross from NCC. Jenna Crittenden from Ryle. Thats what comes to mind right away! It is going to be a great season for the 9th!

The top two are Sandfoss and Moss, not even close.

 

No guard can defend Courtney without a lot help. She is so much faster and quicker than any guard in the region. She is also the best defender in the region(regardless of position) she can lock down any guard. She is almost a one player full-court press. She can get to the rim easy and quicker than anyone. Great at finishing and drawing fouls. Very mentally tough.

 

Moss, the most physically talented hands down of anyone in the region. There is not one player that comes close to matching up with her.

Have you seen the other girls play? Boone County's guards destroyed Sanfross during the season, can't count when she had the broken hand! Courtney is a great player but their are other guards just as talented! As far as Moss goes, I agree, the most talented but she will probably be sitting out a year!

"DESTROYED SANDFOSS" (not Sandross), not hardley. They played the first game of the season with a new coach. Close game until Bradley took control when another player was guarding her. As far as the last game, same thing, Bradley took control again as the D I player that she is. Boone has very talented players with an excellent coach. Will be a power house again this year. Sorry I disagree with the word destroyed. ::eek:

Yep, I saw the games.

In the one game I saw I thought the PG from HHS was slightly better than the Sandfoss girl. Both are strong .

 

I also really like the PG from Boone.

 

Add in the youngster from Holy Cross and it will be a very strong crop of PGs.

Allen from HHS is very good... But I think Sandfoss will be better than ever this year and will have a very good inside presence in Tabor.

As will Highlands with Towles.

Speaking of Ms. Towles, it is my understanding that she may again be taking up another sport in the fall. Anybody have anything to offer on this?

 

Is she getting any looks from D1 or D2 schools? If so, who might some of those schools be.

No one "destroys" Sandfoss and it's a ridiculous comment.

 

Just wanted to verify for sure before posting...Sandfoss did guard Bradley the entire 1st game when she was in the game...during the final minutes of the game Fookes spread the floor so Bradley had room to operate...Sandfoss fouled her once that was called, had a "clean" block from behind that was also called, but then clearly fouled her on a lay-up that was "not" called...so they were even

 

In the rematch Sandfoss couldn't guard her due to the injury. Dawn did what he had to do by going to a half court game. NCC did not want to slow the game down, but after winning 17 of their final 18 games Boone did not want the game slow either.

 

As for this topic...I agree 100% with DD...Sandfoss will be the top PG/defender in the 9th region and Moss is by far the most talented & athletic. If Moss comes back to Ryle, OR is ruled eligible to play (wherever that may be), that team will be the immediate favorite in the 9th...IMO!
