I would put Carl Lewis Cummins in there among the best in the 12th also. He was an excellent point guard for Lincoln's middle school team, and did very well playing the varsity point during summer ball while our regular pg was in Hawaii. I look for him to get quite a bit of varsity minutes this season. As for Luke Hill, I believe he scored like 1400 points in middle school, but then that's middle school. If he keeps growing, he should be a force to be reckoned with in the future, and the same goes for Tyson Williams, who I LOVE by the way - great kid!

No mention of at least a few Lincoln freshman, whose 2013 class dominated the 12th region (at least those who would agree to play us, lol) the last three years?? I think the 12th region is loaded with great freshman, too bad they can't put a 12th region all star team together and compete around the state. I'd say they'd be pretty hard to beat as a whole!:ylsuper:

Just heard that the River City Hurricanes beat the Arkansas Warriors by 12 points (or so) this morning. Sounds like all our Kentucky teams are "representing" well! Keep up the good work!:ylsuper:

Lincoln beat a good Corbin team this weekend at the KBA state tourney. Don't be counting Lincoln out next season....

It's my understanding that Ethan Spurlin from Lincoln County (12th region) made the team. Why is his name not on the list? Have I been misinformed?:idunno:

How many kids are gonna be playing in the scrimmage? I'm sure they are missing quite a few who play other spring sports, who probably won't start football until those sports are finished. I just hope the numbers are way up this year.

Yes you need say more, LOL. I think Lincoln would have beaten WJ in the 12th region finals, but of course, we didn't make it to the finals. I do congratulate West for getting to the final four however. It has been a while since the 12th region has made it that far, hasn't it? Good Luck today!

Who is going to be QB at Lincoln this year?

I heard they have done some "recruitin" in the halls of LCHS. Will have some new faces on the team next season from the upperclasses, not to mention a promising fairly large (in numbers) group of freshmen!

Matt Cooper, Zach Hill, Tre' Owens, Dwayne Whitaker......I hear from a very close source that the JV beats the varsity in practice QUITE often. Lincoln has NO rebounding from what I have seen at the games, and if the starters and the current subs aren't going to rebound, then why not put in Cooper (a junior who can rebound and shoot the three) or Hill (sophomore who can really rebound)? Owens is a great defender, and Whitaker is an excellent shooter. There are others on the bench who might make a real difference if they were given the chance. Lincoln had a 20 point lead on Tuesday night vs Danville, and the coach never let his bench in!!! Spurlin can't carry the team every night as he did on Tuesday with 36 points - and it's not fair that he has that burden on his shoulders every game. Now, I understand that I am not the coach, so maybe there is a good reason for not playing your talented bench. Maybe it's strength, or maturity, etc.! What do I know???

Does Lincoln play Wayne again during the regular season? I can't find my schedule....:confused: I know that we beat them quite handily in the game in December, and we were not even playing our best basketball then...but then they probably weren't either, right? If Lincoln continues to improve, and the coach will start letting his very talented bench play, then they will be right there in the regional finals.

Lincoln wins, 60 - 40. Wondering why Coach Jackson doesn't sub the bench in when they are up by 20 most of the third and fourth quarters. Seems like you are just asking for an injury to one of your starters. And besides that, I hear that the bench warmers beat the starters in practice a whole lot! lol

I agree! I think the class of 2013 will help the 12th region rank at the top of the state! I think there should be a state tournament where the best players from each region play the other regions for champion - now wouldn't that be a tourney to watch!:banana::banana:

I think Lincoln will be better than you think this year, especially after Christmas. They have a couple of very promising sophomores, and if they step up and get playing time, Lincoln will be very very good! Also, for you McCreary fans, will Tyson Williams get any playing time this year?
