YES

Undersized is a understatement it is loaded with gaurds. They must be planning on running the ball a lot, well they better plan on hitting better than 50 percent from the field. Becsuse they don't have know inside game going with this team. Good luck anyway to the boys that made it because when you see the talented size they have on that Indiana sqaud their going to need it.

Size is an issue every year in this game. Indiana always has a handful of 6'7, 6'8, 6'9 kids that can post and step out as well. There's just not much size in Kentucky. Add in the population difference between the two states and Kentucky is behind the eight ball before the game ever starts. There is one thing not too be worried about, Kentucky has two of the best in the business on the sidelines. These kids will be ready to compete for Coach Hopper and Coach Listerman, if they aren't they won't be around long!

Interesting ... Central's Ridge Wilson is going to play football at UK and he's on the West roster for the East-West All-Star football game on Bowling Green on June 12.

 

He's also on the roster for the Kentucky-Indiana series on June 13-14.

 

I'm assuming he wouldn't have tried out for the basketball team if he wasn't planning on playing in it.

I have a feeling our Ky boys aren't going to do so well against the In. Team. I know they will play hard and I wish them well, but...

Well at least the Faulkner Twins should be familiar with this situation. Small guys on a small team playing a bunch of bigger guys!!!

 

I think Hopper and Listerman took the best 12 who could makes play and put the ball in the hole. You have to play the hand your dealt. Trying to remember the bigs who were invited (Adams, Collins, Reeves, Jones, and ??) I think many of us would have made the same decision. No use just having a bunch of big guys on the roster just to make it look more even on paper when in reality if offers no advantage.

There were big guys that can score defend and rebound that had good "tryouts" but were not selected. From what I am told it was pretty much decided before tryouts that Kentucky would be going small. There are guys on the team that did not have good tryouts at all, and they were still locks for the team apparently. There are many that will agree with these statements. To knock on the bigs because they are not on the final roster is in no way justified.

I just don't understand a guy like Chris Dowe not making it. I was very impressed with him when I have seen him. Hes probably 6-3 I believe and can shoot or put it on the floor. He was very impressive at the Sweet 16.

It's my understanding that Ethan Spurlin from Lincoln County (12th region) made the team. Why is his name not on the list? Have I been misinformed?:idunno:
