Is WgohWugo going to carry the East vs. Greenup game tomorrow night?

I agree when you say that the guards need to become more aggressive and involved in the offense, but do not know how you can say that their post players hide behind the defense. Oh wait, I do agree he is probably hiding behind the defense because he has posted for five straight minutes without receiving the ball. The raiders need to develop a zone offense or they can forget about tournament action come March.

I would consider East vs. Elliott to be a bigger rival than West now these days. Yes, East and West are in the same county. But East has been beating West for a couple of years now and the attendance at the East/Elliott games are twice as big as the East/West games. I guess people want to come out and watch two good teams play like East and Elliott, not West Carter.

I look for East Carter to come out and show the fans of the 16th region that they are the second best team in the Region.

They played Friday night at Tates Creek in the Commodore Classic. They were up 17-10 midway through the 2nd and Tates Creek went a huge run. They ended up getting beat 62-46. East Carter played really sluggish the whole game and turnovers killed them. The only positive note I took away from the game was that Tyler Jackson played well and carried them for most of the game.

Does anyone know what radio station carries Tates Creek Boys Basketball Games?

16th- Elliott County The gym is small, it's always a full house and the players say the floor is geat.

East and Elliott always bring packed houses when they play against each other, can't wait for their games this year

I agree Elliott beat East all four times last year, but i was in attendance for all four games and you could probably ask all the people in attendance who played better. My guess would be they would say Colt Barnhill. The first game he didnt play anywhere to his potential, but knipp didnt hardly even play in that game due to foul trouble and fouling out in the 3rd quarter. The second and district finals, Colt had a double double both nights where Timmy was lucky to reach double figures. In the regional finals, Colt was either the leading scorer or the second leading scorer in the game. I dont see where you can justify Timmy being a better post player than Colt. Colt Barnhill might be the true definition of a post player

East Carter's whole team is alot bigger and better this year. Look for the Raiders to make some noise throughout the State and the 16th Region

I dont understand how you can list Timmy Knipp and Dakota Euton in that list when they dont step foot inside the foul line

After watching Boyd play this summer, it wouldnt matter if John Wooden or Dean Smith were hired as coaches. There team will have to improve leap and bounds to compete in the 16th region

Well last time I seen Barnhill he wasnt 6'6 and Timmy Knipp wasn't a factor in any of those 4 games. I agree the Faulkner's and Ferguson can not only play against anyone in the state, but probably the entire U.S.. Elliott wont have maybe the best 6th man ever to rely on in the region this year, I think everyone knows who I'm talking about. Watching East play this summer I think they will be a completely different team to watch compared to last, even though they lost Drew Johnson. Colt Barnhill, Devin Kawada, and Tyler Jackson looked very good in all summer action

Well let Mike Terry be the best freshman in the region I dont care, when the year is over the 62nd will contain the best players and will see East and Elliott compete for the Region crown once again

I really dont know what games you have watched Mike Terry play, but I watched many RoseHill summer games and saw him shy away from contact and pressure. Yes he can knock down a show when he is wide open, but who can't? He is going to have to improve his game alot from now to regular season to be considered one of the top Freshman in the state

I totally disagree to every comment posted here, yeah Terry is a decent player but not anywhere good enough for best freshman in the state. As for Bush and Gambill you might see there name reach double digits in the box score a couple of times

Colt Barnhill from East Carter might be the best true post player to come out of this class, I wouldnt be surprised to here some big news come out of the 16th region.

Let's just hope that Greenup can win ten games this season instead of setting the bar so high.
