I agree. Some of the coaching decisions down the stretch were suspect at best. Especially the last two minutes.

I've said it before. A balanced scoring CCH team can be dangerous. On the other hand, if all the shots run thru only CVH they can be beat. CCH has plenty of players capable of scoring in Flood, Fredrick, Mayer, lenhoff, Ruthsatz, etc. sometimes they just don't get many shots. I would say Fredrick is shooting a higher % than anyone on the team. Lenhoff also shoots well. Coach Ruthsatz will make some adjustments. Also, congrats to Holy Cross and Ryan Schrand on another quality win. HC has really surprised a lot of people this year! Gonna be a great 9th region tournament this year!

Weyer is having a great year. Scoring, rebounding, blocks, very complete player.

Fredrick is playing really well. He looks to be the best offensive player CCH has right now. He is shooting an extremely high percentage. It was also good to see AJ and Andy have a big game. If CCH will run more offense through Fredrick, AJ And Andy continue to score, and you get your usual from CVH, CCH will be hard to handle moving forward. A balanced scoring CCH will be dangerous.

Has Fredrick become CCH best offensive player? Does he need to shoot more shots to give CCH the best chance to win? I know he shoots a very high percentage.

The intentional foul call was terrible. It was clearly a foul, but definetly not an intentional. As an official please let the players decide the game. The foul on Ison was clearly on the shot. As an official if your going to have enough guts to call the intentional foul, then have enough guts to call the foul on the three point shot at half court. Ison made a very smart play to draw the foul on the shot. The question is why in the world would SK put one of their players out at half court to be in the position to make that foul. Not very smart on SK coach. Lastly, if Ison and Neace are both candidates for 8th player of the year, Ison clearly won that battle going away. Wasn't even. close.

VonHandorf has never been a lights out outside shooter. I think KHSAA website stats from last year has him shooting about 26% from behind the arc. He averages about 16-18pts a game (sometimes more, sometimes less), but shoots a lot of shots to get them. Cole has always been really good at midrange pull up jumpers off the bounce, and getting to the foul line. That is his strength at the high school level. I believe most of this points came from the foul line last night.

I said it in another thread. Sean McNeil was the best player in the gym. CCH had no one that could guard him. They tried several different people on him. It didn't matter, they had no answer for him. McNeil is the best player in the 9th region. Can play big or small, lights out shooter, great passer, and very good rebounder. Gonna be an exciting two more years for Cooper fans to watch him.

Both of my players are guards. Both are in the 9th region. Both are heavily guarded every night. My player A can guard positions 2-5 at the high school level, and is pushing 6-4. My player B can guard 1-3 positions at the high school level, and is 6-1.

He dropped 43 points in one game at Xavier basketball camp while CVH was out with ankle injury. I might add it was against a very good team also. I wouldn't call that struggling. I feel he could score more every game if he got more shots. Not often does the offense run thru him. He does rebound and defend extremely well also. Andy is a great kid. In my opinion he is underrated, and overlooked often. Hope he has a great senior season.

I agree with a lot of points you have. I guess the only thing I'm saying is I wouldn't put to much into looking at these rankings. There are several well deserving players not ranked. There are kids on the list that didn't even start on their high school freshman team ranked in the top 50. While others, in the same region, started varsity games, and/or played major minutes, not ranked. I get it people say "we didn't get to see them". But I would love to see people that do the rankings do a little more homework. I do believe the class of 2018 in NKY is a loaded class. It's going to make for some very good basketball over the next few years. I always thought you were very educated about NKY sports. Obviously you know very little about the class of 2018 to say you could see why he would not have made the list. He has just started growing. Now at 6-1. Dad is 6-6. Put size with his lights out shooting, great handles, and BB IQ, he will be extremely good. Again, he is the best NKY player 2018 class (in my opinion)with Brennan Hall close behind. Love both their games Hoop dreams, you would probably recognize him to see him as he put up 33pts on your A team at the state tournament when the Shining Stars beat your team. Blonde haired wing play, two guard. You don't forget faces like that.

I can see that to some degree. However Adam Kunkel had an unbelievable AAU summer. Had a great state tournament, played in four other NCAA certified exposure tournaments against high level competition such as Georgia United, Louisville Majic, St Loius Eagles etc. with that being said he is no where to be found on the rankings list. Where, other than the camps does a kid like him need to go to get "exposure" to be ranked. There is one kid on the list that played one tournament all season due to an injury. Tournament wasn't even in Kentucky. Went to no summer exposure camps. Not a great player, yet is on the list? I know it's hard to see everyone, but if you want people to take the rankings seriously, it has to be a little more accurate.

I would agree with that, but I know there are kids on that list who haven't been seen. It's great people try to rank players. Just would be much better if they did their homework. They have kids listed in the top 50 that aren't even the top two or three players on their own high school team. Just not a very good ranking system.

I agree, they are two different players. McNeil is almost 6-4 190lbs (guard). Shoots lights out from the arc. Rebounds extremely well. His size will translate nicely to the college game. CVH is also a solid player at 6-0 175lbs, his strongest asset I think is his mental toughness. He is a competitor, and has a solid resume the last two years at CCH including 2014 state champs. CCH also has another very good player in Andy Flood. At times Flood gets overshadowed by CVH and doesn't get quite as much credit as he deserves. He has good size, shoots well, plays really good defense. Heard he put up 42pts in a summer scrimmage game (against a pretty good team) when CVH was out with an injury. In my opinion Sean McNeil will be the highest recruited player in the class of 2017 from the 9th region. Heard he already has some very nice D1 programs interested in him. But interest and offers are two different things.

I would say CVH and Andy Flood are the only "guaranteed" starters for next year. I think Ruthsatz will probably take over the point responsibilities. Beyond that I would think its wide open. Coach Ruthsatz will play the best players, and he has a lot of players to choose from.

$500,000.00. How many teams does Team Takeover have? What does that average out to per team? I've heard numbers of $100,000 with Nike funded teams. Does anyone really know the details about how much each Nike funded team receives?
