From what the present AD says (she is retiring after this year), the job is his if he wants it. He is technically able to hold both positions at one time, but with a growing school like WV it would be pretty difficult I would think. My guess is WV has a new head coach next year. Walton could have two present or past HS head coaches on staff at the school that aren't coaching- Sullivan (Campbell County) is the schools Assistant Principal and Bennett (Walton) could be the AD.

This performance by Walton really surprises me- how do you beat a team by 10 twice in a season and then lose to them by 27. It doesn't make sense! I know that WV is young and inexperienced, but they are better than this! And about WVs coaching staff- I played for Coach Bennett and I always liked him as a person and a coach and I dont think that he is the problem at WV- I dont know what is. Good luck to both the Bearcats and the Demons the rest of the season.

The game was very sloppy- a lot of turnovers from both teams and Ludlow couldnt hit a shot. Not a very impressive game by the officials either.

I was at WVs game the other night and at times they had a 7th grader(Mullikan), 2 8th graders (Clinkenbeard & Sandlin), a Frosh (Ginn), and a Soph (Dixon) on the floor- and that looked like one of the better lineups they had. WV should be really talented in the years to come.

Honestly- I wasnt impressed by GC at all when I watched them play on Tuesday against Owen, but it sounds like it was a pretty bad game on GCs part- not the norm. I say SK wins it.

I would say that Beechwood and Holy Cross are the favorites- I would love to see Beechwood win it!

In my opinion they always do with the talent and numbers they have in Walton.

Walton is really impressing me. For a team that everyone discounted bc of their youth and inexperience, they are playing really well right now.

Wow! Walton is playing really well right now- maybe they are playing with a little more confidence since that win over SK last week.

Honestly a surprising win- not that they won, but the amount that they won by. I thought Lloyd was supposed to be pretty good this year- they looked to have some talent at a scrimmage at SK before the season.

I think that its promising to see that they have been able to play very competitively with the teams theyve played so far, and they are most likely only going to improve for the rest of the year and the next few years. Ginn has been out the past two games as well correct? Walton will be competitive come later in the season.

I agree, I saw them play against Cooper, and while Cooper may not have been the strongest team, WV has some good, young, talented kids. Once these kids mature a little and figure out how to play and win, they will be fine.

I think WV won both the JV and Freshman games. Pretty convincingly, from what I see on WV's sports site.
