This is really good for Conner- to be playing so well and be so young. Are the seniors impact players?

I hope this means that Holmes plays the way they can for the rest of the year.

Boone really is playing up to the hype it sounds like. Do they play any tougher teams from Lex/Louisville this year?

Cov Cath always seems to find a way to win though and Coach Listerman is the one coach that can figure out a way. I remember the first time I ever saw them play, I didn't understand how they were as good as they were. None of the players were absolutely great individual players, but thats not how CCH plays. They will be competitive in the 9th Region Tourney.

Id say Walton, Williamstown has been playing well and with Walton being so young- I don't know. But Ill still say Walton.

So Hodges is the tall player? How tall is he- I heard like 6'10". And does anyone know stats for either team besides Maile?

How did Avery from Conner play? I haven't heard much about him and I thought he was supposed to be pretty tough. Who is the tall kid from Conner?

How did the JV and Freshman games go?

Sounds like the game was about what most people on the predictions thread thought it would be. I'm glad Walton played with them and were able to contain Maddox and Jones- what they needed to do. It just happened that two other players stepped up. Good job GC and good luck. Good job WV as well- how did the game go and who else for WV played well?

Who's on first?

This is three really close losses so far. For a team that plays as many really young players, WV should be really good in the future- especially with the new coach they have to lead them there.

Walton's team is pretty young correct? How is Villa Madonna?

#32 Matt Storie, I think is his name and I think hes a junior #44 Shaeffer? #25 #20 I dont know the rest of the names but I remember a few. I'm not for sure the fifth starter and I think I got these four right. I beleive they are all 10 and 11 graders. Correct me if Im wrong.

I heard Walton's Freshman beat Coopers Freshman by quite a bit.

I will agree, both teams looked inexperienced and young- a lot of sloppy plays and turnovers, and a lot of shots that should have dropped for both teams. But Walton should be ok this year, in my opinion.

Walton looked good tonight- more athletic than I thought they would be. From the looks of the team tonight and talking to a number of people at the school, they have a lot of young talent coming up that could be really good. Vance Sullivan looked really tought tonight- he is going to be a real talent in the years to come (hes a sophomore right?).

Im not for sure on Sorrell's stats- but he definitely had an impact. As far as for Dixie- they have a guard (#23) who was pretty good and Pike was good as well. Pike though needs to just get more comfortable with the Varsity game and he will be VERY tough IMO.

Just curious why didnt Cosby from J-town and Johnson from North Hardin not play last season? And why are they ranked so high if they didnt play last season?

If this is the kid Scott's coach referred to as "Kola" on the court at SK on Saturday, then I will agree- he is good. A big body and he is definitely talented around the basket. He made some mistakes and lacked some intensity at times, but he really impressed me.

I thought that Cov Cath looked very strong- with Shover and Isler in the line-up they will be tough. Maile is one heck of an athlete- in my opinion he was by far their best player. While I didnt expect to say it this year, SK looked tough against CCH- no real impact players, but the team plays well together and was very scrappy. Sorrell should be tough this year for them. Beechwood was another team that really impressed me- very athletic, and all of their players except the big man could handle the ball well. Dixie impressed me against Oak Hills, however Oak Hills played, in my opinion, a little sloppy.

Overall the SK and CovCath game was pretty close. I think both halves combined CovCath won by one or two. Both teams looked tough. Shover (I think thats who it was) from CCH was out and Isler is still recovering from FB season, i guess, so he didnt play either. Dixie played well, for the most part, against Oak Hills. They won 3/5 quarters (5th was only 6 min.), but got beat pretty bad in the 3rd and 4th quarters. Dixie should be good and Zeke Pike should be a tough player in the years to come.

Im sure that this does happen other places, but from what I have seen (and I thought RH was a pretty small school) this happens a lot and on a big scale at RH (OJ Mayo, Bill Walker, Dakota Euton, Chad Jackson). Im from NKY and I hear of this happening some, but not to the extent that it appears it happens at RH. Just an observation.
