Let's hear some thoughts on what people think this game will be like. I believe it's Walton's first home varsity FB game, should be a good crowd. I think WV can and will win this game. 21-14.

I'm really glad to see all of the interest in these two young programs. Im gonna try to go out for the game. It should be a good one!

Funny, but that could be true!

Both teams are very new to football. Walton had a very rough week 1 but seemed to play better against a good Amelia, OH team. BB kept the score fairly close against Owen Co. but I don't know how good OC is. What are your thoughts on this game against two new programs? I say WV by a TD.

Holmes played extremely well in this game. A lot of drive and determination, you can tell these kids definitely wanted to win! I feel that Holmes' defense is what won the game, the first score of the game was on an amazing turnover forced by the HHS D. Well done Bulldogs!

I will say that Holmes has a chance to hang with Highlands for the first half. I think that thier athleticism as well as the determination and work ethic they have learned from Coach Lickert will help keep them in the game. However, the fact that Highlands just has more numbers and more talented reserves, Ill say that Highlands comes out with the win- 2 to 3 TDs.

Im going to say that Holmes defense is too much to handle for HC. Regal Rowe is a tenacious defender and will be tough for HC to handle. If Holmes' athletic offense can put it together this Saturday Id say that Holmes will win.

I am a newly graduated athletic trainer and I work in the NKY area for an outpatient physical therapy company. Most schools in this area have ATCs on site for the majority of athletic events. Those schools either have a school employed ATC, that may have other obligations at the school (this is becoming more and more uncommon), or the schools have a contract with a rehabilitation company. In these contracts, the school usually agrees to pay a fee to have an ATC on campus during hours of athletic competition (usually from around 2 PM-until practices or games are done for the evening), the ATC is paid a salary by the company, and the ATC fulfills a fulltime work schedule to the company (a combination of hours worked in the PT clinic and at their respective schools). The ATC is present for all home athletic events, and thier presence at the various events is dependent on the relative risk of injury in that sport (i.e. in the case that a football practice and volleyball practice are occuring at the same time- the football practice would take precedence.) The ATCs that I know in this area all have a very good relationship with their student-athletes, families, coaches, and staff of the school they are involved with. In response to a previous comment- injured athletes have the right to see whichever doctor, specialist, or physical therapist they or thier parents desire, and for the most part an injured athlete does not see a physical therapist unless the physician they see recommends PT as a viable option. However, if the athletes and thier families have a good relationhip with their ATCs, they usually take the advice and recommendation of their ATC in deciding which physician/PT to see.

Demetrius Avery from Conner is an excellent player who was out most of this year with an injury. Im looking forward to what he can do next year.

If WV wins this I think it would be the first time ever that both girls and boys WV basketball teams won a regional game in the same year!

Thats classic, so if anyone is taking pictures of this game, they'll have to clarify who is actually playing. Is anyone particularly playing well for WV as of yet.
