Final.

The seniors played well tonight. Walton had control throughout the game and looked in sync! Ponzer had a nice night with 17 points and the other Ponzer with 8. Jones and Kirk also played well and seemed like WV was on the right page at the right time! It was a good night from everyone on the bench for Walton. Hopperton made some nice three's which helped WV have a big win, and Walton rolled right into the Championship! Good time to play good boy's.

 

At least there wasn't a Big fight in this one!:jump:

Thought this game, and the one that followed, were two of the best officiated games I've seen all year. There's always ticky-tacky stuff that each coach will usually complain about here and there. But, I don't think any of the four coaches tonight should have any problems with the way the games were called. Nice night for the guys in stripes!

 

That being said...congrats to the Bearcats! Being able to get the Demons caught up in your tempo, and hitting those 3's (11 of 'em?!?!?) helped seal the deal.

Since we seldom talk about good officiating, care to mention their names?

Good win for the Bearcats. Now it's time to bring the title home.

 

Asher, Teague and Buckler? officiated the WV game.

Sandlin, Britton and ? officiated the SK game.

Nice win for the Bearcats! Thursday nights game vs. SK should be real interesting. As with the last SK/WV game, it all depends upon tempo. If WV can knock some shots down, keep the pace of the game up and not allow SK to take advantage of their inside strength, WV has a real good chance of winning. It's certainly big to be able to draw a district loser and not a winner.

:thumb: Agree with the officiating (which I usually don't) they did a really nice job keeping it clean. Let the kids play a little but not let it get out of control.

 

It would have been much worse if Walton would have shot the ball well the first half! Setteled for jump shots a few times when they could have shot layups all night against that 1-3-1.
