Wow. CCH needs Mitch back bad. Was this a close game at all or did Conner dominate from start to finish?

Close until about mid-way through the 3rd it blew up. Halftime was CCH down 2.

(I said this in the Updates thread so I'll Copy and paste it here where it's appropriate)

Terrible showing by CovCath. Poor ball control, poor shooting, poor teamwork, poor defense, poor rebounding. Besides ALL of CCH's negatives, Conner had some good shooters and tall players on their squad. I have to tip my hat to (i forget his number maybe 33?) the tallest Conner player who contested every single shot that went up by CovCath. He must've had 8 blocks.

Conner had a lot of breakouts that widened the gap. Poor job defensively (partly caused by the offense) and it was the difference.

Who is playing point right now, Ives or Pauly or someone else?

Both. Pauly started tonight and played mediocre at best. Probably about 4 turnovers or so. Ives from what I counted had 3 turnovers in the first quarter alone! It's frustrating to be a CovCath fan right now.

As I said previously, if you're a Colonel fan keep Feb 1st in your mind as time to start getting a grasp of how well the Colonels can do in the tourney. Until then its all about putting the pieces of the puzzle together.

Conner is a solid team with a good future.

I have to also say (I'm sure I've said it before) that if CCH didn't have Maile, I'd go as far as to say this team without Mitch might go defeated. I'm sure Maile had over 20 again and had the ball more than half of the time they even possessed it. He has no other weapons around him like he did last year.

I believe Luke had 25.

That sounds about right. He really didn't shoot that much either really. Maybe one three pointer.

Coach Hicks always seems to get the Cougars on top. Great job Conner!

How did Avery from Conner play? I haven't heard much about him and I thought he was supposed to be pretty tough. Who is the tall kid from Conner?

Avery is a player.

Hodges is the sophomore. Nice job challenging shots tonite. I'm pretty sure he comes from a long line of Hodges that played b-ball at Conner (girls and boys).

Whats next for CCH?

Ryle at home on Friday, Highlands on Sunday at the Northern Kentucky Arena as part of the Bluegrass/Buckeye challenge.
