  1. I posted where it came from...how bout "you" tell us who said it? now that you've chimed in
  2. Tpick, you know me better than that...I won't say it unless I have something to back it up. In the thread "1A Rankings on 9/7"...the below is the post and sure seems pretty clear to me my friend. Feel free to check it out and see if I changed it in any way! Feel free to apologize anytime...publicly since you called me out "Crunch, toothy is like me. We have picked and barring injuries I think Mayfield will handle BW with ease. Mayfield's defense is better than last years and our offense aint bad either. The real question is has BW's offense improved geatly from last year? If they haven't it will be tough sledding in Nov. Crunch, you may think I don't know what I'm talking about but I try to call em as I see em and I'm right with great regularity on Mayfield and 1A football. I will say its not a virtual lock for Mayfield but its theirs to lose"
  3. BW was matching CC blow for blow until those two huge fumbles. BW O-line was getting plenty of push during the long drives prior to those fumbles. I also thought BW prematurely went to the "all" passing game when there was 9-10 minutes left and only down by 12. Those fumbles were demoralizing, and that three pass (3-and-out) took zero time off the clock, put the defense on the field way too much too fast and was the knockout blow.
  4. You mean until Dec...remember, "beat'em with ease"
  5. IMO, the HC play makers are on the field "WAY" too much. When the QB (very nice athlete) never steps off the field he has to get gassed. Perhaps there's a direct correlation to solid 1st halves and bad 2nd halves with so many mistakes. I give some credit to halftime adjustments by the opponent, but good grief those HC guy's are not supermen. Those same boy's were on Offense, Defense, and Special teams when BW was up 55-14 with "all" their 1's on the sidelines at the end of the 3rd. Heck, I'm pretty sure I even seen them working in the concession stand at halftime. Oh well, perhaps there's a valid reason...
  6. I know that's my hat...I put my name under the bill, let me see!
  7. Well Snake, it is what it is, right? BW's still needs a bit of work stopping the pass, but MF couldn't run on us last year and they won't this year either. Luke picked us apart; however, he wasn't pressured. I like Jake alot, but he WILL get pressured, guaranteed! so if he is able to make the right decisions and be on target with his quick hitters before the pressure comes...then it may be another long night for BW. If not, I like our chances, but I won't boast and look foolish by saying it will be done with ease. I like and respect "Toothy" and for the most part, I usually agree with him...except when he plays his childish games on here. However, "You" talk too much just to hear your head rattle. Whenever you aren't blowing smoke (which is rarely), or sounding like our favorite SK fan, you tend to add more value on here
  8. He's made a few bad decisions, no doubt, but let's keep in mind this was his 3rd Varsity game. He's also 2 games removed from being the player of the game in the crosstown shootout. The receivers have let BW down quite a few times as well, but that doesn't show-up on the stats. IMO, you can look back at the Homes game and can see exactly when the two BW lineman went down because the Holmes D was in the back field untouched chasing the QB "every play". HC crowded the box early and did the exact same thing. When you're running for your life mistakes happen. BW countered in the 2nd half by making HC pay for putting so many in the box and we didn't do that last week. BW also decided to go after the QB in the 2nd half and he also was forced into some mistakes. Bottomline, protect the QB and good things happen. If the QB has no time at all, it's slightlly tougher to make good things happen...sortof elementary, agree? BW will fix the O-line issues. Until then, the defense will need to keep playing hard.
  9. It's time to change the users name to "THE sandbagger"...good lord Pick
  10. No. CC is undefeated in KY so no way should BW jump'em in the polls. LaSalle would have thumped nearly ever NKY team.
  11. You're determined to lose my respect, Pick. You love to subtly take shots at BW and then sit back and watch. Very slick! There will always be a few that put too much stock in the past, but most of us know it has zero bearing on 2011. I will say, regardless of what some say, that was a real special year for folks "directly" affiliated with that team. For the folks that say it doesn't mean anything to anyone...well, you can bet your last dollar on whether they were a part of it or not. "Anytime" you can beat Highlands, I couldn't care less if the boy's were in diapers...I'm screaming from the mountaintop! As for the rankings, they are fine.. I'm a little surprised BW dropped after making so many mistakes and still beat a 4A team in a pretty hostile environment, but I think dropping BW is more demeaning to Holmes than BW. If BW goes in to dist play undefeated (very very tall task) then they'll jump MF in several polls, but if not, they won't have a shot at topping MF again until the 25th of Nov
  12. Hey Snake, I have no doubt we'll see a fast 1A team. What I will say is that I watched the MF/Greenwood game on the internet and it wasn't overly impressive or fast. Greenwood's OL wasn't strong just as SK's wasn't. IMO, the internet doesn't do a game or team a whole lot of justice so I don't bet all my chips on seeing a game via the web. I also think you will see a pretty fast and disciplined 1A team in late Nov if things continue to progress and barring any unfortunate injuries to either team.
  13. Not saying SK was good by any stretch. I'm just saying they are much better than Greenwood.
  14. I watched Greenwood. SK is much better than Greenwood. The 1-2 rankings are fine either way.
  15. Did your team change its name or is this how you plan to address them all season so we all know they're young? We get it TP, you're young and inexperienced...blah blah No one is falling for your sandbagging my friend nor will your boy's ever fly under the radar! Perhaps a tougher schedule and some losses may have helped, but not a potential 13-0 or 12-1 in late Nov
  16. I guess I was asleep (no surprise), but I "thought" it was 3-2 Conner after the 2nd period. Then, at the start of the 3rd, Conner was on a long dirve, the QB fumbled, and Holmes ran the fumble back which I "thought" tied the score. Then, Conner brought it down the field and scored what I "thought" was the final TD (4-3 Conner). No way did I see 7 TD's by the Conner 1's, however, I really lost interest fairly early so it could've happened I guess. As for this topic, BW should control the game and will hopefully put it out of reach early.
