Probably right. LHC is the 3rd best team in my opinion. Everything look right to you, G ?

No beef here.

I still say Beechwood should be number one, but this is probably the closest to correct 1A ranking so far this year.

If Hazard doesn't start playing some ballgames they will fall out of the rankings!

 

I do know they had a difficult time scheduling games and I'm sure they didn't like having two byes this early in the season.

 

I would probably have put Holy Cross ahead of Hazard just based on their body of work. But you can't really go wrong either way.

I agree with all, looks pretty good. I do think that Beechwood should be at #1, Beechwood and Mayfield are deinately the two top teams. Either one at 1 can be understandable. I just don't know what Beechwood did to drop.

I do think that Fairview should be higher.

In my opinion old Rambler what Beechwood did to drop 1 thing plus 2 things Mayfield did.

 

1. Beechwood played a mediocre game against Holmes. Which can happen to any team

2. Mayfield beat Paducah Tilghman rather handily the same week.

3. Mayfield has beaten Beechwood the last 2 yrs.

I do think that Fairview should be higher.

 

I believe Fairview was fourth in this weeks AP poll. The biggest problem with them is their weakness of schedule so far. Three of their four games are rivalry games, so I don't fault them for playing them, but they haven't been the best competition. It gets a little better as they move along with Raceland still to play, along with Greenup County (big school) and Nicholas County/Powell County (schools playing well this season). So Fairview might be a team we have to wait and judge in the playoffs.

You might need to give Nicholas County some consideration. After their 3 point week one loss, they have really stuck it to their opponents. Their RB C.Pope has to be in the top 5 rushers in the state, all classes included.
