Not supposed to be, but it knida seems like an unwritten thing between coaches. In any event, congrats to these young ladies for this award.

She is there so it's a moot point! Every team in the State could share their "what ifs'?", right? If we would have had a strong PG or if our Post was 7' instead of 6'...blah blah blah! Every team brought the players they had on the roster and the games were decided on the floor. Was RC the best team? perhaps, however, the answer will always be subjective, but during those four days they were the best and they are State Champs...no ifs, ands, or buts!

It appeared to be a good exchange and now you take an unnecessary shot. Is that flirting with the provoking rule You need to "stop" so we can watch and talk about the "Bird" practice yesterday...Geez!

Thanks Frank. I imagine since the 9th played on Sunday the Calloway foks got the unfair advantage of scouting that game in person. Oh well, kids still hve to execute regardless of the scouting report.

Calloway has a crazy record and hasn't lost to a KY team all season. Are they in a weak district/region with a weak schedule or are they a legit powerhouse? any clue?

It appeared to me as though the Boone players were perhaps a little over confident and expected to win. It also appeared the players were sitting back "waiting" for Sydney to take over. Ron had a great game-plan and his team executed. He knew eventually Syd would try to take over so he ran the wings at her to disrupt her game. NCC made a "full" commitment to force other players to step-up and beat'em, but Boone seemed to stand-around waiting on Syd to carry them. The Bred's closed out on the shooters and forced the ball to go to the players less-likely to make the big shots/plays down the stretch. Ya can't under estimate what it means to have an experienced leader at the PG position on the big stage. Boone has had that luxury over the past several years. Jones will get there, but for now she really needs to develop her shot because her defender just sits back in the paint and clogs up the middle. How many times during our lives have we heard and said "free throws - free throws - free throws???" my my my...

Great gameplan and it kept SH in the game. Yes, Boone did sleepwalk and I, for one, just slept. You can bet Boone is well rested. Even though SH kept it close, Boone didn't have to exert much energy and Nash should be very well rested.

For the most part I agree with you

There are so many %'s being tossed around on here that I have no idea what is correct, but I can say that I asked the NDA bookeeper after the game, which I assume is in sync with the official book, and she said that ND shot 83% in the 1st half. Pls don't shoot the messager because I don't have a dog in this fight. Shock...you can no longer say you haven't seen a team shoot lights-out at BOK

Shock...you are class act when I talk to you in person, but what the heck happens when you get behind a keyboard? I know you are passionate and in no way expected to bow out this early so I know it hurts. I will never throw salt in the wound. You are truly a dedicated fan/uncle and I know your are pumped because Ryle has all that talent coming back and you'll be right in the thick of it again next year. Make sure you pressure her to bust her tail in the off-season because this is the most critical summer of her career.

Great question! When she did come in it "seemed" like she always came in for Johnson who is Ryle's best defender. In a game like this, the top/experienced performers need to stay on the floor until they have nothing left to give. I'm not a fan of Ryle by any stretch, but I truly feel for Abby and the Jump family. When you dedicate yourself to the game like Abby has...this is a very tough time when the realization sets-in that your HS career is over regardless of when/how it ended. It's really tough on the parents as well and it'll hurt for quite a while, but she'll soon turn her focus to bigger & better things and this loss will be a distant memory.

Mr Dawn was standing next to me during the NDA/Ryle game...you can best believe he's going to pressure from the start after seeing how effective it was late in that game. NDA will spend the next 2 days working on the press-break and staying out of traps...count on it! I really liked NDA's composure and how relaxed they were for being so young. If they can handle the ball-pressure they'll win in a close one, but if they get shaky like last night they'll lose in a close one.

Something tells me the only way you won't complain about the ref's is if Ryle wins OR you ref the game by yourself

Ryle averaged around 40pts per game at BOK last year. I suspect NDA, and potentially NCC, will play at a snails pace since it seems to be effective. I know it's been covered very well since last night, however, the refs may play a big factor again tonight depending on how close they call it.
