  1. If I'm a 6A powerhouse like SK...I would avoid this thread like the plague since it's a 1A team thread
  2. Toothpick comes out of hibernation just a swangin' Ya sound fired-up and ready to go again. Did the new Pastor bring a few of his athletic flock with him from Georgia?
  3. Maybe the schedules just didn't work for there to be a common open date for Beechwood and Danville. You are dead-on. They tried, but couldn't line-up the dates.
  4. Per ESPN rolling message on the TV screen...Barnes, projected #3 pick
  5. I understand why you would call-me-out on that statement however; I was just stating that "I" think they were mediocre/rebuidling. 1) A pretty good frosh PG 2) no quality depth on the inside 3) no perimeter shooters 4) a pretty athletic center, but not a beast by any means. Henson is pretty good, but makes a ton of mistakes that hurts his team. When Henson got in foul trouble and it hurt UNC that badly because there was no depth...Plus, when they had to completely rely on Barnes (Frosh) to carry'em...that, IMO, proves mediocrity & rebuilding. Let's also not forget they weren't even in the tourney last year which in and of itself should constitute rebuilding. UK is rebuidling also, they just did a better job of it Any Championship is great, but to call this potentially the "best ever" with so many incredible past UK teams...come on, seriously! Whomever started this post was wayyy too jacked up!
  6. You are dead-on! There's a dislike for all ACC teams, but outside of the hatred Duke/Carolina have for each, other teams are rarely brought up in a discussion.
  7. .......:lol::lol::lol::isurrender:, O.K., that about covers it. Ahh, so you agree? Thx
  8. I assumed that perhaps a combined 37 losses (26 in conf) would have to be the worst in years, if not ever. Plus, two mid-majors (assuming VCU is a mid-major) on one side of the bracket. So, if not the worst combined losses in years, then educate me on the facts?
  9. Wouldn't ya have to say this is a fun and an exciting final four however; probably the weakest field in years, if not EVER? It's probably by far the most combined losses ever. It was a great win over OSU, but the win over a mediocre rebuilding UNC team is not a huge deal folks.
  10. Not supposed to be, but it knida seems like an unwritten thing between coaches. In any event, congrats to these young ladies for this award.
  11. She is there so it's a moot point! Every team in the State could share their "what ifs'?", right? If we would have had a strong PG or if our Post was 7' instead of 6'...blah blah blah! Every team brought the players they had on the roster and the games were decided on the floor. Was RC the best team? perhaps, however, the answer will always be subjective, but during those four days they were the best and they are State Champs...no ifs, ands, or buts!
  12. It appeared to be a good exchange and now you take an unnecessary shot. Is that flirting with the provoking rule You need to "stop" so we can watch and talk about the "Bird" practice yesterday...Geez!
  13. Off the top of my head, wasn't Boone's lone D1 signee living out of district? go back to sleep Flatrock
  14. I would guess Indiana Legends, but there's someone on here much more qualified to answer
  15. Thanks Frank. I imagine since the 9th played on Sunday the Calloway foks got the unfair advantage of scouting that game in person. Oh well, kids still hve to execute regardless of the scouting report.
  16. Calloway has a crazy record and hasn't lost to a KY team all season. Are they in a weak district/region with a weak schedule or are they a legit powerhouse? any clue?
  17. It appeared to me as though the Boone players were perhaps a little over confident and expected to win. It also appeared the players were sitting back "waiting" for Sydney to take over. Ron had a great game-plan and his team executed. He knew eventually Syd would try to take over so he ran the wings at her to disrupt her game. NCC made a "full" commitment to force other players to step-up and beat'em, but Boone seemed to stand-around waiting on Syd to carry them. The Bred's closed out on the shooters and forced the ball to go to the players less-likely to make the big shots/plays down the stretch. Ya can't under estimate what it means to have an experienced leader at the PG position on the big stage. Boone has had that luxury over the past several years. Jones will get there, but for now she really needs to develop her shot because her defender just sits back in the paint and clogs up the middle. How many times during our lives have we heard and said "free throws - free throws - free throws???" my my my...
  18. Great gameplan and it kept SH in the game. Yes, Boone did sleepwalk and I, for one, just slept. You can bet Boone is well rested. Even though SH kept it close, Boone didn't have to exert much energy and Nash should be very well rested.
  19. Not a Downs fan? or just a bigger fan of Stanley? No dog in the fight, just thought this was an interesting post.
  20. There are so many %'s being tossed around on here that I have no idea what is correct, but I can say that I asked the NDA bookeeper after the game, which I assume is in sync with the official book, and she said that ND shot 83% in the 1st half. Pls don't shoot the messager because I don't have a dog in this fight. Shock...you can no longer say you haven't seen a team shoot lights-out at BOK
