  1. 1) New guy "MAY" be "D" line only 2) Davis has to be QB only without a proven backup 3) Vocke will go both ways. His speed is needed in the secondary 4) Bradley is a role player, however, a very critical piece to the puzzle which was apparently recognized by some 5) I also heard the same things and agree with your assessment of every player you mentioned.
  2. Shock...you are class act when I talk to you in person, but what the heck happens when you get behind a keyboard? I know you are passionate and in no way expected to bow out this early so I know it hurts. I will never throw salt in the wound. You are truly a dedicated fan/uncle and I know your are pumped because Ryle has all that talent coming back and you'll be right in the thick of it again next year. Make sure you pressure her to bust her tail in the off-season because this is the most critical summer of her career.
  3. We'll double what you currently get paid to do pictures
  4. Great question! When she did come in it "seemed" like she always came in for Johnson who is Ryle's best defender. In a game like this, the top/experienced performers need to stay on the floor until they have nothing left to give. I'm not a fan of Ryle by any stretch, but I truly feel for Abby and the Jump family. When you dedicate yourself to the game like Abby has...this is a very tough time when the realization sets-in that your HS career is over regardless of when/how it ended. It's really tough on the parents as well and it'll hurt for quite a while, but she'll soon turn her focus to bigger & better things and this loss will be a distant memory.
  5. Mr Dawn was standing next to me during the NDA/Ryle game...you can best believe he's going to pressure from the start after seeing how effective it was late in that game. NDA will spend the next 2 days working on the press-break and staying out of traps...count on it! I really liked NDA's composure and how relaxed they were for being so young. If they can handle the ball-pressure they'll win in a close one, but if they get shaky like last night they'll lose in a close one.
  6. Something tells me the only way you won't complain about the ref's is if Ryle wins OR you ref the game by yourself
  7. Ryle averaged around 40pts per game at BOK last year. I suspect NDA, and potentially NCC, will play at a snails pace since it seems to be effective. I know it's been covered very well since last night, however, the refs may play a big factor again tonight depending on how close they call it.
  8. The student section tried to boo in the second game as well, but Syd/team very quickly put a stop to it when she/they "went off" and put it away early.
  9. Then I guarantee you'll be re-elected next year
  10. Listening to coach Stamm and Buttels was worth the price of admission. I wish I had a dollar for every "WHAT!, NO WAY!, and NOOOOO, YOU'VE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME! It was even funnier when I could hear a whistle...then total silence while these two were trying to figure out what was called. It sounded like I had a better chance at "guessing" the call from my home than they did sitting courtside
  11. Bradley is just a solid role player. The stars are the Nuss's, Vocke, Staten, Davis (will be), and probably the new guy based on what I'm hearing. I'm sure I'm missing some, but that's off the top of my head.
  12. I totally agree. Just one post is all you need "the HHS offense, the HHS defense, several subs...and let's move on"
  13. My experience has always been that when you play 8th region teams (meaning the refs) we were ready to hug 9th region refs when we got back into town assuming I heard correctly that 8th regions refs are doing this tourney? Shock: from my experience, if Ryle plays their typical aggressive style (especially Jenna & Dawn) you better take a couple of "calm down pills" before the game starts
  14. I don't have to wait for your posts since they are predictable. 1) Ryle's being disrespected 2) Ryle shot "lights out"...when they win 3) refs refs refs...when they lose. Everything else is jibberish! Just having fun with ya. Without a doubt you wear your team on your sleeve and love your conflict. Your same top players have basically been playing together for 4-5yrs and there used to be quite a few Ryle fans on here. Now, it's just you and the occasional "kind/wisdom" posts from Jumpball. You've driven your own fans away
  15. I listened via the interent and Coach Stamm was beside himself at times over the officiating. I heard him say at one point during the game the free throw advantage was 27 - 9 in favor of SH. The game literally sounded ugly with the non-stop whistle's that could be heard in the background.
  16. Jump, I have to agree with you. I saw some unnecessary stuff going on, but I didn't see any, what I would call, poor sportsmanship. I didn't have a clue what Shock meant by his "not biting" post because I now tend to just scan over his posts without paying much attention
  17. Yep, I agree with you. It also doesn't help that it's one-n-done and a bit more pressure.
  18. I figured they would head across the bridge...especially with the close connection they have now
  19. How rare is it for a thread to turn its focus to HHS?
  20. What's you definition of "lights out"? very few games where a HS team shoots lights out in any gym. I only watched one game there last year and it wasn't pretty. 2yrs ago, Ryle was done in the 1st round. Did you come back to watch the rest of the tourney? It's not what I consider "lights out", but BC shot fairly well at close to 50% (including 18-34) from the 3pt line. Not too bad considering they were not a very good team...they just got hot at the right time.
  21. It will give them a good feel for the size of the floor, however, there's no local gym that can help adjust to the backdrop of BOK. I would be willing to bet NDA has a place to practice that comes close to BOK's backdrop...right paNDA?
