Seriously! I guess the high shool 'shot clock' forces teams to score rather than slow the ball down. How about...slow the game down, walk the ball up the floor, and run through their offense a few times before scoring rather than demorilizing the opponent.

Pretty gutsy statement my friend. If SK takes BW or NCC lightly they will get it handed to them and your talk of playing HHS will forever be a bigger joke than it is now.

Agree. Very very tough place to play and always seems to be a shooter's nightmare (opponents). I expect them to beat Boone in a close game.

Hey TP...sounds like 2A is in your future?

I just took a look at their schedule. I can't speak about the Florida competition and out of state competition doesn't usually count in most in-state polls anyway. Other than that, I only see 1 top 20 KY team played so far and Ryle lost. It also looks as if most of the teams that Ryle beat, that are historically good (LCA/LexCath...etc), have 6-8 losses each. That being said, I may be missing something so I need your help. I'm open-minded so if you show me the numbers/proof of a brutal schedule...I'll certainly buy-in to it (I'm a visual guy). FTR...historically, NKY rarely gets respect from these polls. It just so happens that some high profile players have helped draw some attention.

NCC has played Boone and Ryle pretty competitively the past couple of years, but they haven't beaten either team in the past 4-5yrs (including 0-6 since Dawn). NCC is much improved and can absolutely beat any team in the 9th on any given night, but "hotly contested" is still a loss. They have to start beating the top teams "consistently" to be back where they once were. Ryle and Boone will enjoy the limelight and publicity for one more year...then the rest of the pack catches up!

I totally agree. Last year, there wasn't another team that could upset Boone or Ryle...this year, NCC, NDA, and SH could take out Boone or Ryle on any given night on a neutral floor. On the big stage and under intense pressure...I'd take Dawn and Fookes (not in that order) every time.

"If" Ryle beats Boone in a couple of weeks they'll be coming out of the woodworks to help ya out I gave your niece my prediction for the 3 match-up's "IF" the two favorites meet up in the region

This is a tough stretch for SK and the odds are they will lose the next 3 of 4. They'll be battle tested come regional time.

I'm not a big fan of your sandbagging and occasional subtle shots at us, but it's in fun and it is what it is. The odds are in favor of yet another rematch at your place next year. It sounds like with all the young MF talent coming up that if we don't get ya next year it may not happen for a while because BW will take a massive hit to graduation next year.

I agree! need a LB and out pops one from Arkansas and need a QB out pops one from GA...whew, that's some awesome luck. Congrat's! Since I am unfamiliar with the MF area...what type of industry is there that would entice families to move in from various states? I'm from a more rural area than MF and it was very rare to have families move in. Great family! My Daughter had the luxury of playing with Ally for a couple of seasons and with both of these great players for one summer...fun times! I'm confident Ally would be headed to UCONN if she would have been comfortable away from home.

He's working out with the FB team now and I was told he is definitely 6'4" 260+ (he's a junior) and an athlete. I guess we'll find out soon enough.

Ally is a heck of a player and pretty much deals with the same thing Tibbs does with guard-play when pressured. It would have been nice to have seen BC matched up with a big division team as opposed to the small school division...I'm sure it was due to the press of these 2 high-profile players.

The Shootout is scheduled at multiple venues. There's an attempt to have back-to-back games at Thomas Moore between the only 4 NKY teams in the Shootout. BW vs SK Dixie vs CovCath (I think) - can someone confirm Dixie's opponent?

It's why I said the only change I would make to the preseason top 10 was to move NDA up to #3 They have always defended their home court and it's a tough gym to play in.

He has been publicly asked his opinion, just like most coaches, all the time for the newspaper & camera interviews and yes, believe it or not, before Mayfield came into the picture. He has consistently stated that he would prefer to be 2A, but is even more adamant that we need to get back to a 4-class system.
