Different schools. If not you could say all the Catholic schools are under the diocese and are therefore connected.

HHS vs NDA predictions
IDK...rivalry game with the season on the line with a CR letting almost everything go might be some factors.

Bourbon County 2 Bishop Brossart 0
I have seen Bourbon county this year and they have a pretty solid team on defense with a couple quick kids up top and if you came in taken them lightly I can see this result.

He was playing center mid most of the time

And that's why asnow is opoy! Dribbles through three defenders and finishes opposite post. Hits a seed from 25 yards just under the crossbar. Heads a ball from a perfect free kick from about 40 yards out. Can't recall the fourth but the videos should be coming hopefully.

Ryle 2 Cooper 1
And that's why Snow gets my vote for opoy. That's like the third free kick goal this year. He is going to have a nice highlight reel when his career is over.

KCD is pretty good...that one would be great to see .

KHSGSCA Girls Soccer Rankings
I didn't say they weren't better than last year but I don't see many quality games or wins for that matter. The coach is well respected in Louisville and the coaches that haven't seen all the teams might send a vote his way. I still think all NKY is down.

Newport Central Catholic 2 Highlands 1
Looks like NCC has HHS number. Definitely think NCC has the best goalie. Their depth worries me after the first round of regionals. NCC plays a lot of younger players like HHS yet hhs can't beat them maybe some adjustments are needed to come out with a victory.

Obvious Goal-Scoring Opportunity Denied (The 4 Ds) Law 12 provides that a defender whose violation of the Law prevents a goal or denies an obvious goal-scoring opportunity must be sent off and shown the red card. The "professional foul" which is taken in a cynical attempt to prevent opponents from scoring requires a quick, firm response by the referee. Such misconduct by the defender overshadows the severity of the foul itself. In order for a player to be sent off for denying an "obvious goal-scoring opportunity," four elements must be present: Number of Defenders -- not more than one defender between the foul and the goal, not counting the defender who committed the foul Distance to goal -- the closer the foul is to the goal, the more likely it is an obvious goal-scoring opportunity Distance to ball -- the attacker must have been close enough to the ball at the time of the foul to have continued playing the ball Direction of play -- the attacker must have been moving toward the goal at the time the foul was committed If any element is missing, there can be no send off for denying an obvious goal-scoring opportunity. Further, the presence of each of these elements must be "obvious" in order for the send off to be appropriate under this provision of Law 12. However, the foul might, by itself, warrant a card -- a caution for unsporting behavior, for example, if the challenge was reckless or a send off if the challenge were violent. If the foul by the defender is both violent and qualifies as an obvious goal-scoring opportunity offense misconduct, the referee should include both facts in the game report but must only list one official reason for the red card. Referees are reminded that offenses which deny a goal-scoring opportunity are not limited to those punishable by a direct free kick or penalty kick but may include technical fouls for which the restart is an indirect free kick.

Villa vs Dixie Suspended
It's home field advantage and the gate. What better way to slow down the pace of a game than plush grass and divot filled field. I heard the other coaches were upset with the scheduling of only one game a day but everyone gets a turn. I know NCC uses tower park even though their hosting but I'm sure HHS gave them a good rate on the rent.

Looks like SK getting the benefit of a coach well known in the coaches circle. They are ranked to high in IMO.

As I like to say sarcasm Sheldon. I'm little slow.

The field is extension of the classroom and he must rise above and set an example. Are you saying the coaches were trash talking or the players from the other team? If its the players that's really not good form for a coach to let opposing players get under his skin.

Montgomery County 2 Scott 0
Only 20 still the most by one school in soccer.

If he's kicking the garbage can I say he's a lucky boy, there are a few in stripes out there that would have dismissed him.

Nope. He is local. Agreed if the coaches were getting on the goalie the CR should have addressed it. However not uncommon for a coach to chat with an opposing player when a foul or two is endangering their players. Should be addressed by the CR.

9th Region Tournament Brackets
There is a draw usually the Saturday before where the district winners and runner ups ad's meet and 1 draws a 2 but not you own district 2 a lot like basketball.

9th Region Preview
And I believe they are holding a freshman round Robin this Saturday. That combined with a Friday rain might make for poor field conditions. Than you have all that seating capacity and the fact the fans are 2 yards from the touch line, refs love that.
