Final

Great game last night, both teams battled to the end, early scoring made the difference and held up. Both teams had several chances to score in the second half but goalie play was huge for both teams. NCC goalie had some great saves and Highlands goalie in the second half did a great job. I thought Ansley Davenport came up with some great defensive plays, just when it looked like Highlands was getting ready to score Ansley came out of nowhere to make the stop.

 

In my opinion its a 3 team race ND, Highlands and NCC, the draw is very critical in my opinion. Good luck to all the teams.

Well Highlands can draw NDA, Boone or the winner of Dixie/St. Henry. Believe they lost to St. Henry, beat NDA and Boone game was cancelled. Any of these 3 opponents would be a very tough first game. NCC gets it a little easier in that they can play either Conner, Beechwood and the loser of Dixie/St. Henry. Much rather be playing one of these teams along with drawing opposite of NDA.

I agree to an extent but I think Highlands has gotten better. Although all it takes is one bad game for anyone of those teams and your season is over.

From the little that I have been able to follow this year, it would appear that Boone is playing very well right now and might be the team that neither Highlands or NCC want to play in the regional tourney, but in order to win it you have to beat them somewhere along the way.

Boone has been playing good considering all the injuries they have sustained! Down to 13 players as another backup went down with a knee injury tue night. I expect the starting 11 to play and play the majority of the game monday and beyond if they win! Boone doesn't have to rely on just one girl scoring this year as in years past. Hoping they get a better draw than the last couple

I agree Boone is playing well and have a good team what hurts them is depth midway through the second they are usually pretty tired, if they had a bench they would be one of the front runners in my opinion. I could be wrong but I think depth in soccer is huge.

Looks like NCC has HHS number. Definitely think NCC has the best goalie. Their depth worries me after the first round of regionals. NCC plays a lot of younger players like HHS yet hhs can't beat them maybe some adjustments are needed to come out with a victory.

From what I've seen and heard this year I agree with you. I'd also add that everyone feels that the HHS freshman girl is good. Everything goes through her and teams play HHS that way. IMO, HHS will need to get scoring from others to be successful in regionals and in future years. Definitely more scoring needed by outside players.
