I was thinking more of 7 plays 8 this year. Had the pleasure of seeing this match 4 years ago at Oldham county vs St x. What a match quite of few people thought that was state championship game.

Tough region to get out of but they do put up some good numbers.

Got to agree if the ball is played out for injury than the play is to return possession. Goal kick is a little different but it could have been kicked out of bounds.

If there are no fields that meet the requirements than what will they do? I'm sure there are a few regions that this could happen if they make it wider.

The round of 16 is played at one of the teams home field. It's all about the money. I believe BB hosted a round of 16 at NKU anf if you read any of the basketball threads about playing at NKU it's not always a win for the schools. Playing at school you can feel the energy and makes for much better atmosphere. Plus no guarantees the host team makes the final and then the attendance usually drops off signifcantly.

With the field requirements and the fact that Ryle hosted two years ago and highlands last year I'm going to guess St Henry. Not sure there any other fields that fill the requirements for size and lights.

Turf is the answer. Maybe they can get a grant from the Bengals like cov cath and cc.

Girls coaches association has no interest. I think part of it is the high turnover lately of girl coaches. My thought would be to have a jv1 and jv2 tournament so that the small schools could compete against the big schools freshman teams and the real jv teams could compete.

Yes I think coaches who sub at almost every stoppage are rec like. High level club teams sub in groups and once a half. I get HS is a little different but as a coach you are disrupting the flow of your team when you sub constantly. Please are you really going to compare basketball and soccer substitution apples and oranges. You prove my point with the state tournament because the kha red teams won ohio state 16, 17, and 18 and the competition is much better top to bottom. The kings wanted his players for their teams and not so much the coach. He teaches technical but not so great at game adjustments. In the end it's about the players you have and does the coach make them better as a team. We shall see in regionals.

Teams in the top division of MRL are not required to play in kpl or the ossl

Agreed Tommy didn't have the best record but Nina's was very good and BW isn't in the same ballpark as her stats. Don't you think the constant subbing is a little like rec soccer? I know most people think the KPL is the top soccer in KY but all the best teams don't play in the kpl they play in mrl. BW club team does well in Kentucky but not in Ohio south or in tournaments outside of Kentucky.

Jv regional is next weekend but a few teams are playing their Fri games this week.
