I think this game will be a little different than the regular season game. My gut says different as I watched HHS outplay NDA on Sr night at NDA but my head says NDA is gonna be focused and want this one more. 3-2 NDA wins

Even though HHS dominated the regular season game, I think everyone still sees them as the big underdog in this game. For HHS to win they need to avoid the mental breakdowns on D that have cost several games this year. On O they need to keep spread out on the field (they still tend to play on top of each other) and need to pass and look for the assist. They can not try going going one on two and one on three as they tend to do. If HHS can come out with a quick score like last match up it will be big to give them the confidence they need and put doubt in NDA's players minds.

This has to be the worst center ref ever.

There have been football games not as rough as this.

I honestly was very concerned for the safety of the players on both teams. It takes one wrong shove to the back or even the neck to leave a permanent injury. I could be wrong about this, but the head referee simply did not seem to care about this at all so I hope something is done about it. Player safety should be first for everyone period!!

Totally agree this isn't a rec league game, but this one was BAD.

It was consistent. Both teams benefited from the no calls. Both teams fought hard.

Very lucky no one was seriously injured.

 

Can't imagine what that guy was watching out there.

Probably was watching two teams that wanted to beat the you know what out of each other.

 

Seems like this game had some bad blood going in. I don't seem to recall much as far as highlights from the regular season game so where would it have come from?

I don't think there was anything special going on, other than the rivalry and trying to keep their seasons alive.

Didn't HHS beat NDA on their senior night? Maybe they were fighting a little harder not to lose again.

The CR let everything go on both sides! One girl would put her elbow in middle of the back of player she was defending(very hard with intent to hurt) when play was stopped all night long; I am all for playing tough in your face D but this was very poor sportsmanship and I sure hope it was not the coach teaching to play D like that! The type of play the CR let go all night was crazy and it was lucky no one got hurt and no altercations broke out. I give credit to players on both sides for keeping their tempers in check. It is also interesting that the CR was allowed to ref a game involving NDA when he is a staff member at Cov Cath.
