  1. RICK CHASTEEN makes good officials in the BBA;):sssh:
  2. ;)Heard that Clark may be playing Scott County At Memorial Colliseum.. Is this TRUE?
  3. This has got to be one of the better tournaments as far as competition during this period. I believe I will have to attend more of this one as I normally stay in Lex for the 5th/3rd. Coach Greisser has beefed up the competition in this one and probably won't win his own tournament this year.:ylsuper:
  4. I was just mentioning some of the most recent:cool: But you are exactly right, The Hamptons ALL had great high school officiating careers as well as Mike Buis and John Radjunas:ylsuper: These were all accomplished in the craft of officiating and Doug was one of the best game manangers I have seen over the years before Rick Chasteen.
  5. You are exactly right. Watched Terry work game against Paintsville and UHA in the All A Classic. Very heated and emotional game for players and coaches and he and his crew handled it well..Thought it was one of the best officiated games of the tournament. His crew was Mike Melton out of the 14th Region and Bo Queen out of the 10th/11th Regions. All Three had solid games. :thumb:
  6. Big Slick Bart May not be around much longer as I have heard is stock in the collegiate ranks are rising very QUICKLY. I heard he got into a couple of D1 conferences..Someone on here might know more but from watching him the past couple of years I would not be surprised.
  7. TubbyCAT Good assesment of some of the top officials in the region. I have watched alot of the top games in the area over the past few years and it looks like these guys get most of those games. Some of the BEST PAST officials that have come through the 10th/11th would have to be Rick Chasteen, John Chamberlain, and Joe Thompson. These guys officiated every game for the kids no matter who was coaching or what type of game..:thumb:
  8. Sandlin lives in Northern Ky and cannot do HOLMES..Also works out of the 8th now and could not do Shelby Co..
  9. Then don't complain about them.:flame:
  10. Great Post El Gato..Been to the fieldhouse for years and NEVER have I seen Mason or fans moved because they were VISITORS. I must commend the Montgomery Co. Staff for doing the right thing and changing benches and sides. Now that is Classy...:thumb::banana::ylsuper:
  11. Good Post Agree!!!!!!!!!!!!:thumb:
  12. And not to mention gas pushing 3.25 gallon and I was told by one official they receive less money for the regions and only one official gets reimbursed for .30 a mile...:madman:
  13. Just wondering how the different regions are adjusting to the officials that were sent from other regions.? Do you think your season officials are better / worse.? Comments:eek:
  14. The Bluegrass covers both the 10th and the 11th and they are staying. the 14th is doing the 13th and the 15th is doing the 14th and the 13th is doing the 15th.. Next year I have been told the 12-16th is doing a 5 way swap not sure who is going where.. The Bluegrass I have been told by several coaches will never leave, if they have anything to do with it. They feel they have the best and get the best every year. They do not feel they would get the same quality of game they get all through the season..:thumb:
  15. Where did this come from.
  16. Anyone have any stats on this game yet?
  17. Great to see this list..: Especially Coach Allison and Jim Swinford:thumb:
  18. Boys: Cary Lyle and Terry Smith Girls: Kirk Hudson
  19. It seem this has been a problem for central in the past few years..Freethrows are such an important part of a basketball game, it doesn't look like kids practice them as often on their own as they use to.
  20. Good, Most fans don't know a good game when they see it called. Those two coaches in that game probably would know more than anybody. I have been at games when the crowd goes nuts over a call and the coaches don't say a word because they know the rules more than the fans do. Most officials, I have been told by many of them, look at advantage and disadvantage.Sometimes there may be something happen totally outrageous, but no one gained an advantage and a no call was the end result. I myself have complained at times but after talking to some of my official friends have gained a new insight on what they are looking for.
  21. Don't you think there is alot of people in Clark and Montgomery that don't attend in Maysville but will now attend at Montgomery Co. The Faithful 10th Region Fans will still attend, But there will Some like you that will not because of the move..But I almost bet there will be several in this area as well as some in Owingsville and Menifee that will go to see a UK signee play in the MCHS :thumb:
  22. Classy Post KRAZIE.....:thumb: It Does make the Mason Faitful look bad But I know several of them and they are not...
