  1. Roy Cable Coming out of retirement???????
  2. Really!!!!WOW:notworthy::notworthy: NOW that would be an Awesome Hire.. Doesn't his inlaws live there in Greenup County? He has done a great job at Campbellsville College and that program... WOW:clap:
  3. You are exactly right. One was a kicked rule. The other that affected the outcome of the game was a JUDGEMENT CALL. Not a rule.:thumb:
  4. :ylsuper: :ylsuper:This was a great post RECPARK:ylsuper: I have known many of these guys over the years and I know they are not taking this missed call lightly. I hope that some good will come out of this.:thumb:
  5. Sparky It appears to me you are by far the best referee the BBA could have. I hope you join their association so that everyone can belittle you next year.:ylsuper:
  6. It is my understanding from talking to some of the people at the 10th region tournament last night, that they did loose the finals this year.:sssh: I hope this will atleast make you feel a little better, as it seems you were not going to let it die. I had a friend of mine yesterday make a good point. I run a succesful business and on a project a team of people are working together. They are about to complete the project and one of the members makes a mistake and we loose alot of money. Would I fire the whole team which has some outstanding individual people that bring alot to the table for this company, or do I suspend or fire the individual that caused the mistake. Think on that:sssh:
  7. Because it was NOT their Responsibility. :isurrender: Each official has a responsibility at the end of a game and I'm SURE after talking to several of the BBA guys, they all told me the same scenerio. It is ALWAYS the outside official across from the table's responsibility to have the last second shot. The Table side official is looking for violations or fouls in the paint and is not looking for the shot attempt. The official under the basket is not looking for the shot either. they are responsible for the fouls and violations on their side of the court.:isurrender:
  8. Not second guessing you Clyde, because I have alot of respect for your wisdom of the game, But I have watched this clip over and over, and I have yet to find a walk..I guess I must try to watch it again.
  9. Take in drive time which in most cases throught the 10th and 11th Regions is atleast 1 hour and in some cases 1.5 hours and the fact they have to be there one hour before game time so that is another hour.So we are talking on the average of 4.5 hours to 5.0 hours:thumb: per game. Not counting the fuel costs and the wear and tear on their vehicles..Now do the MATH.:thumb:
  10. GREAT POST...I have talked to many of the BBA referees this weekend about the situation and they all feel the same. Hopefully something good will come out of this unfortunate situation.:thumb:
  11. Tell This to the coaches that graded them out. These three would not be there in that game if those two coaches had not graded or rated them that high. JUST SAYING..........
  12. Where is Coach Tiller Going? I havent heard this one.
  13. If the big freshman plays the way she did Monday, Montgomery will be hard to beat. :thumb:She really had a nice game.
  14. If I recall correctly, BUT didn't Coach Coldiron take a Powel County Team from the 14th to the State Tournament a few years Back?
  15. Still Enjoy Going there to watch a game and enjoy the hospitality that is still there in a rural small town.:thumb:
  16. Clyde Sounds like the Coach from Ryle does make an effort. If more coaches would do this it would make it easier on them and the Officials.
  17. I must Have to disagree with you on this one.:idunno: Way Too Many Coaches today do NOT know the rules.. Not saying the refs do either.. I think the coaches should have to take the rules test just like the officials. I think they would quit yelling as much then.:thumb:
  18. Lafayette Has som e good athletes this year that in previous years have not played. Without Stenzel, this will be a very competitive game and look for Lafayette to pull it out at home.
  19. WOW:confused: As Coaches how do they feel about this practice from that official or officials? Man that is just wrong..I would hope you called the assignor and told him this was happening.
  20. Sounds to me like he was just doing what he was suppose to do in the situation. I have talked to MANY Coaches about him and MOST want him in the big games because he is not affraid to make the calls that some guys seem to pass on. They KNOW what they will get with him...A Fair game..:ylsuper:
  21. Mustang, Tim O'Hara is a fine Official. He has always worked good with other officiating crews from other regions. I know the Bluegrass use to send alot of officials to other regions during the tournament season, but now need those officials in region. There is so many holiday tournaments they need to keep them in.
