Madison Central has taken some bumps on a really tough schedule, but should cruise through the district tournament next week and make the 11th region tournament interesting.

:thumb: With Bryan Station beating Mason tonight... the team coming out of the 11th is going to be a real challenge.

Phares is a straight baller. He had to have 40 tonight. Great effort by MC. Morris and co played one bad quarter and it cost em. Ford, Metcalfe and Clay played real well. 11th region is going to be nasty.

Could not have said it any better than that. It will be key to win your district in the 11th region, so you can get that first round match-up at home.

Phares and Hood will be the top 2 seniors in the state next year IMO. Phares is getting scary better the last few weeks. Great game tonight vs MC. And he had around 40 a couple of weeks ago against Henry Clay I think.

I know MC is rated in the top 20 now, but they could be the sleeper/spoiler again in the 11th.

How scary is it to think that whoever losses the 42 district aka Scott Co./ Bryan Station district will be your first round region game??

 

Also, tough loss for Central it sounds like but they just seem to always be sticking in there with the rest of the 11th region teams no matter what seems to come their way.

Scott county was 29 for 29 from the free throw line with a minute left in ot and missed their first 2. They ended up shooting 29 of 31 and MC shot around 16 for 30 something.

It seem this has been a problem for central in the past few years..Freethrows

are such an important part of a basketball game, it doesn't look like kids practice them as often on their own as they use to.:confused:

I agree. I never got what was so hard about them. I probably shot like 90 percent in high school and the only time I practiced them was the alotted time during practice.
