Not regular season action, but SK plays Elder in the CovCath invitational on Wed. at 10:30am

Simon Kenton is playing in the CovCath tourney on the 30th, but that's all that's happening with them during the break.

I'll take a stab at it and say SK sweeps all 3 of the triple header.

Simon Kenton has Conner at home on Wed. and then a triple header at home against Grant Co.

Game was played at Dixie...I guess they better look into the refereeing!!

Simon Kenton beat Cooper last night 39-32. Game wasn't that close really. SK had a 15 point lead with 4 plus minutes to go and Cooper called a time out, then for some reason SK played not to lose rather than to win the game.

Simon Kenton opens with Cooper Thurs evening at home. They still have 5 Freshman playing up so we will see how it goes. Saturday they play Brossart, reuniting Tanner Norton with alot of his friends/old teammates.

I wouldn't say the Tigers are too far away from being a championship team, you just ran into what everyone in NKY (except Highlands) knows is a very, very solid football team. There wasn't a single player on the sideline nor a person in the visitor stands that didn't think SK couldn't play with X or even win that game. Just because a NKY team FINALLY stepped up and not only played with, but took a Louisville's powerhouse program's best shot and had a chance to win it under 2 minutes to go shouldn't be a knock on your team this year. Good luck to St. X the rest of the way...I believe the Pioneers gave you your toughest game you will see the rest of the way!!!

Driving with under 2 minutes to go in the game to tie the score...I'd say they represented quite nicely!!!!

I think a lot of St. X fans will agree, with the exception being the Cincy St. X game they lost, SK is the best team they are going to play or have played this year! And RockPride needs to eat some crow!

This is going to be a great game!!! I think SK has a shot at this, but have to play nearly perfect. As for X, I hope they don't think they can bring their B game and still advance. It's going to be one of their toughest games to date this year!

I'm possitive SK's not taking ManUAl lightly...how they got to the finals last year is still fresh in their minds. I still think they handle Manual relatively easily, but that is in no way disrespectful to them. There's some pretty good football being played in NKY this year and both Louisville teams will find that out this weekend. Hopefully, SK and X make it to the next round, because to be the best, you have to beat the best, and that's X. Respect is ALWAYS earned and never given!!!

SK is focused on Manual and X better be focused on Ryle! X has to stop what will more than likely be a favorite for Mr. Football the next 2 years. That being said...I'm REALLY looking forward to that match up!!

The Soph class has a couple of players that will log varsity minutes but I think that's about it. You also have to take into account the wealth of talent in the Frosh class. Seems as if they are not going to have 3-4 of their top players on the Frosh level (as it stands right now, we all know that might change) and they are still going to be tough to beat.

Pioneers roll 42-14. Haven't heard or seen much about Manuel, but something just seems special about SK this year. Thinking they get to the quarter finals against ST. X and give them everything they want and then some!

"Bob"...Simpson will go for 200+, Manuel's not going to stop him. They're only shot is to outscore SK and I don't see that happening!!

I would imagine there might be several that end up dressing JV before it's all over. Congrats to Ayers for sticking though. Sampson very well could see some Varsity minutes if he stays in the flow of the offense and keeps his temper in check!

Which 4 have you heard Coach? I have heard there's going to be 1 more cut because Ayers, Racke, Bowling and Johnson are back with the Frosh.

I agree! SK has proven they can stop the run and get after the QB, but need to tighten up when the ball's in the air. A one dimentional team should not give them too much trouble, if they come ready to play!

Simon Kenton seems to be sorting out their influx of talented Freshman. Have heard they are now only moving 3 up to JV. That should make them extremely tough this year.

#71 Colin Patrick. From what I understand he did fine, but as I said, it's gonna hurt.

The loss of Piccorilo is going to hurt them eventually! But Simpson has 263 yds on only 15 carries in pathetic conditions again...WOW!!
