Highlands travels to St. Henry on Tuesday at 4:30pm and Cooper comes to the Bird's nest on Thursday.

Brossart goes to Bracken Co on Monday, will face Pendleton County in Falmouth on Tuesday and play Campbell County in the Crosstown Classic on Friday at the Campbell County Middle School.

Dayton plays at Bellevue on Tuesday and then at Lloyd on Saturday

PC Frosh takes on BB Frosh tomorrow in a triple header with the JV and Varsity. Any thoughts on this one?? Don't really know much about BB frosh but i'm sure they will play some up in your face D like they always do! Should be a good game!

Brossart takes care of business at BRacken County - defeat the Polar Bears 37-25, improve to 3-1. Tanner Norton led all scorers with 25 points.

Highlands lost on a 3 pointer at the buzzer tonight to St Henry. Birds led most of the game and were up 28 to 18 after 3rd. Hils for St Henry was the hot hand for the Cru nailing 5 three pointers including the game winner at the buzzer. Highlands had several chances to put them away but too many unforced turnovers. Bailey Witte led the Birds with 8 pts. Hils had 17 for the Cru. Key stat of the game was the Birds only bring whistled for 2 fouls through 3 qtrs and then had 4 called on them in the 4th. They played tight defense the last minute of the game and forced a bad shot with 3 ticks left but the karem of the ball ended up in a St Henry player's hands in the corner and he threw it out top to Hils who released the game winner with 1 second left.

 

Congrats to that young man on a great game. Birds have to learn to put teams away.

How do you let a kid that already hit 4 three pointers get a look at the buzzer for a fifth.

If you were at the game you might have a clue? Witte was running chaser on him the fibal 2 min and he didn't get a shot off let alone a good look. The final shot was a 10 footer that was so off the mark that it careened off the left of the rim and the Birds didn't block out so with 3 seconds left there was a dash for the ball in the corner. Witte made an effort for the ball and the Crusader player got to it first. He tossed it out front to Hils who was just standing there spectating. He actually recovered quick enough to get a hand in the kids face. If the Birds on the weakside blockout the ball is held as the buzzer sounds.
