Very sorry to hear about the death of #3 Cameron Irving. I pray for the family and all involved in this tragic accident. As an Adair county Indian fan I admired his tough man to man defense he played on our point guard Nick Fudge, I thought that was key to your victory against us @ N.Hardin game. With 2 yrs left his best was yet to come, he was going to lead that team to great things. I heard on the radio he was an Campbellsville native, I think his dad played for Campbellsville H.S. God bless his family and teammates.

Boone Co and Highlands should be an interesting game.

The 2010 class may be better than Ky 2009 (although it doesn't look like they have anyone like Hood), but the Indiana kids are so good according to the rankings, even more talented than what they had this year 2009. That is why I say the gap may be bigger next year even though our Kentucky team may be better with players 2 thur 7 than this year's Ky team.

Indiana will definately have more talent than Kentucky next year, perhaps a bigger gap than this year.

I dont see how the #1 and #2 spots in the 9th region can be any closer than last year! Boone Co was the top team in the regular season with Holmes runnerup and Cov-Holmes was the Champs in the playoffs with Boone Co runnerup.

What I mean for his class in Ky he has an offer for the higher rated school. Oregon State although a bottom tier team in the PAC10 is the better school than a Morehead State or Tennesse Tech. It is still wait and see what kind of offers the other guys get and who actually signs.

With all the critizism Euton has taken, he could end up with the top scholorship! Wow, here is a guy that some said he wasn't top ten in his class!

Pittman has alot going for him in that physically he may be able to play D1, but he has alot of work ahead of him IF he is going to reach that level. Right now he is a longshot.

I thought that all the Jr All-Star team did was scrimage the Senior All-Star team? Do the Juniors play other teams also? If not I dont see what the big deal is. You would like the Seniors to play the best Juniors for the competition, but you have to be realistic. I like Aaron Watts and Travis Johnson alot, James Berry is an excellent 3pt shooter.

You make a good point Guyn may be able to do that, also I think he being a local (kentucky) kid might give him an edge being recuited by Louisville. Actually I may have made a mistake listing U of L as contenders they lost alot.

I disagreed with someone that said this class is strong and will have at least 15 D1 signees, but there is alot of D1 schools and they rank from UConn, UK, UL to the Austin Peay and Tennesse Martins. So I do think that Euton will sign with a D1 school. This class may be deeper than what I give them credit for. It is great that those 5 players are listed in the top 100 of thier class, but most likely only 3 of those guys will play at a major D1 and when I say Major D1 I mean schools like Vandy, Wisc., Kstate big schools in good conf. but not your contenders, we dont have anyone that is going to North Carolina, Duke, Kentucky, Louisville ect.

They lost alot of players, but do return a couple good little guards.

I have never been there, but judging by the pics I would say they had truck pulls more in mind than basketball.

What about the seating? Is there really going to be 40 to 50 feet to the regular seats and the court? That is a big waste of space! Was they serouis about puting folding chairs out there with no elevation! How are people the 5th row back going to see? This is not a basketball arena.

Does Holmes really have the top 3 players in the region without question? Pittman and R. Johnson are no doubt top talent in the state. I dont know much about J. Johnson but seems like to me someone else might be in that 3rd spot.

I am from the 5th region so it dont matter to me. The biggest advantage that I see going with a large arena like this is that everyone gets in to see the game. Once in awhile at a high school gym they have to turn people away and that is truely terrible. As far as the seating and parking etc.. thats a nice little bonus, but diehard fans are going to the game anyway. What you get at the schools that you dont at the arenas is ATMOSPHERE! Someone posted some pics on this message board of the 9 or 10 regional tournment at the time in a big new arena, did a good job catching the action, you could clearly see the fans in the background, one thing they didnt catch was ATMOSPHERE, instead there was pics of the fans sitting on thier butt in that cushy seat with thier head on their hand, no standing up and cheering, even with oneof the pics showing a player dunking! A pic is posted of this arena earlier in this thread and it looks like the regular seating is 50ft away from the playing floor, that is not exciting, for me noway would I want that. For me the biggest factors are: not turning people away at the gate and ATMOSPHERE, not money, not comfort, dont get greedy.

The 5th region should have as many or the most of any of the regions.

What is the status of Landon Slone and Adam Delph now that Calipari is coach, it doesn't look too good, but I dont know what it would hurt them staying on the team.
