They will play the KY Sr All Stars just before they play Indiana.

Is the Junior/Senior game open to public? I'd like to see the best talent Kentucky has to offer at the high school lesson.

Tim Davis will be coaching the Junior All-Stars this summer. They will play 2 scrimmage games against the seniors. Hopefully by next summer they will also play against Indiana's juniors.

Seems like a bad weekend for tryouts...A lot of Jr's are busy on the AAU circuit. There are, however, a lot of really good Jr's. Is it by invitation, or will there be 50 Jr's show up at Spalding?

It is by invitation. The invitations were sent to the players high school coach.

Number of Juniors showing up after AAU games, some by passed games. Some of the try outs are being filmed and put on the All-Stars web site at some College Coaches request.

I don't know of any

This shows you how messed up Kentucky's system is for the All-Star game and why the interest level is so low.

 

Indiana has a great junior program. And they have tryouts that are not on a weekend with two HUGE AAU events.

 

There's no way the best juniors in the state were trying out. Euton and Guyn were in Bloomington, and all those other good guys were in Lexington. How did they even have a tryout?

 

This should be a great opportunity to get a group together and give them some work for next year's series against Indiana. The Hoosier stats does it right.

I wasn't there but I heard that the following players were NOT at the tryout:

Elijah Justice

Rico Johnson

Elijah Pittman

 

I'm sure I'm missing other players who would be considered in the top 20 so I agree, it wasn't much of a tryout if you were planning to look at the top juniors. :idunno:
