LCA will be very tough. The only player they lost is Ross. He was obviously one of the best players in KY. They have a pretty solid ace, yet pitching will be the quesiton mark. They will have an offense as good as any, along with every position starter back.

They also loose Bundy. He ran the point. Paintsville has lost everthing to graduation. They need to get their younger guys experienced. -
John Maronde selected in 43rd round

From what I hear Nick will be attending Florida. He was asking more than teams considered him worth right now. The scouts have questions with his mechanics and asking that much money his signability wasnt that great. -

#15 Gaffney blow a couple of a assignments on special teams that gave Beechwood TD's. LCA returns all of the skill players. They are all Juniors this season, they should have some of the better offensive numbers in the state the next few years with Witt at qb, Hayden at rb, and Burdett at wr. Defense is the question for this team -

Ross didnt get much help early from his defense and didnt really have his best stuff tonight. Maronde walked the bases loaded in the 1st and LCA flew out. This is sort of how the entire night went. Lex Cath capitalized LCA didnt thats why they will be in the region. -
Tonight LCA takes on Lex Cath at Tates creek. The game starts at 5:30 and will be for a change to get to the region tournament. This will feature 2 top 25 players in the country, with LCA's Ross taking the hill and Lex Cath's Maronde. Both of these kids could go in the 1st round, should be a great game! Any Predictions?

LCA hit the ball well, this is not an often happening for them. Yet Ross as always pitched a great game giving up only 2 hits and no walks.

LCA plays Station tonight at 6, I believe it is part of this tournament.

Starting Lineups For KY/IN
Marovich22 replied to devils advocate's topic in KY Boys Basketball (High School)
Mack Hopson Stewart Miller Moses Thats a pretty tall lineup, the bottom 4 are all 6'5" or taller and are good athletes. With mack being around 6'3". If Indiana beats this team by anything more than double digits they are one heck of a squad. This KY team is the best in years with the most DI players. -
I dont see that happening. LCA could handle them if Ross is on the hill.

LCA had something near 10 batters LOB. Pitching has been their achilles heal this whole season. Errors hurt them. Good pitching by Paintsville. -

Close but Maronde hit 91 and Ross hit 93 with the last pitch of the game. -
Any Scott Co or Bryan Station

If im not mistaken basketball isnt Jordan Lee's number one sport, isnt he a big track and field guy? I believe Burnett from Station is going to play somewhere, at one point I had heard Wright State but im not sure. -
Tonight LCA takes on Lex Cath at 5:30. The game will be at Lex Cath. LCA has Robbie Ross on the mound and Lex Cath has Nick Maronde. It will be a game between 2 young men who could be 1st round draft picks.

All A Classic contenders ... 2009
Marovich22 replied to westsider's topic in KY Boys Basketball (High School)
Elliott County has to be the favorite. LCA will have a tough squad they loose 8 sr's yet all but one (the center who didnt get to play the whole year) were pretty much guards. They return some good size in a tough region. With a talented guard who has started since soph season. -
I dont see Ligon leaving Station.
-
Scouts have Ross with the most upside, he is the best athlete.
-
I would disagree with this, if I am not mistaken Ross is predicted to be better? I think Ross is the better pitcher.
-
I know of a few designated relief pitchers in the 11th.
-
LCA's Tyler Oliver played as an 8th Graders, he was all city in Lexington, the youngest that year, the second youngest was a sophomore.
-
LCA dropped a tough one to Dunbar, which they could have won, they have beaten Tates Creek the only time they played as well as Henry Clay. They take on Lex Cath tom night
-
No Ross did not, he was in center.

Top players in the 11th next season (08/09)

From what I could see Donovan was a better ball player. Pharis from SC has the size but put basketball skill has to go Sanford from Catholic. He can do it all, it will be his team next year. -
