I only saw him play at the state tournament and it would be a shame for all that potential to go unused.

Crain will start some games, he plays 3rd for them and has a great stick. Hes a DI player but he has some control issues. Johnson is a solid pitcher, wont over power many batters but hits his spots very well. Evans is a young player that looks to have a promising future. Kennedy has become the closer for this team. In florida he locked down a few games for them, he will do well this season.

With Robbie Ross on the hill I dont see LCA loosing. They just beat the number one team in Florida, and Ross threw 7 innings, and hit 96 mph in the 7th.

Probably couldn't get academic scholarship because they start at a 28 on the act.

Can Whitaker put the ball up over a 6'3"? I dont believe so, I wasnt impressed from Whitaker but smart is a great player. Sanford is most definatly a top 15 player, was there some politically correctness because some of those player from schools that didn't fair so well should not have been on that list. Sandford and Middleton are very good.

From what I have been told by some people I know in Paintsville Sloan will go the first year as a prefered walk on and be given a scholarship the next year. Word also has it that Richie Farmer was VERY instrumental in this.

Sparks signed with VMI. People dont hear much about him but he gave Dariues Miller all he wanted. Dariues had something like 35 and i believe Sparks had 44 in a game earlier this season. Burnett from Station is going to Wright State i believe.

Well before you can put a head to head match on Sanford and Henderson you must first know that Catholic doesnt play man to man so therefore thats not a head to head on each other. Catholic plays a 3-2 or a matchup zone. I havent heard anyone say any DI schools giving him offers, Sloan has had offers to play, Novosel is getting strong looks from Harvard (DI), Smart Vandy (DI), Stewart (Air Force). Point Proven? I am not trying to dispute Henderson as a good player, he plays probably the best defense of anyone in the state, but I dont think he can take a game over on the offensive end. If he developed a jump shot then he'd be very good.

He plays great defense, on the offensive side nowhere near DI.

I think he could be a great walk-on pickup. Worthy of a scholorship, no. He has much more talent than some UK walk-ons (scherbenske (i know him personally so this is not a put down)). He could be a very good practice player and possibly sr year see some clock.

Ligon shouldve most definatly gotten this award. His team played better, went farther, and brought Station to a powerhouse. If not him then Hutchinson at Dunbar.

I think Mack deserves it and so does Hopson, but with the way the sweet 16 turned out I believe Miller will get it.

18 loss from the 2nd? UHA was from the 2nd and they were 30-4 coming into the tournament.

Henderson is a GREAT defender. His offensive skills are very average. He's a DII player.

Sloan had some trouble with Henderson from Holmes but Henderson also gave 2 of the best offensive players in the state Sanford and Stewart from Catholic. Sloan's a great player and could very well walk on at UK. Would be a great pick up.

Also this years Bryan Station team.

I agree Paintsville 97 and 98 where both very good teams. Had Tackett not had back problems I believe they wouldve won in 98.

That is if Ross goes to college. I heard there were about 15 pro scouts watching LCA's first scrimmage.

Lexington Catholic like it or not is playing the best basketball of anyone in the state, they just beat 2 of the top 5 teams in the state. Lexington Catholic is my pick. My heart pick goes to Paintsville, would love to see them get one for Coach Runyon.
