Who are some of the best pitchers in the state?

I'll start with Chandler Sheppard from Lawrence Co. The 9th grader beat Trinity last week and hasn't lost this year in KY. He was the District player of the year last year as an 8th grader and started in the Regional Championship. He's going to be a blast to watch the next few years and he's a GREAT kid!

Grimm from Paintsivlle is the other pitcher in the 15th that is fun to watch.

Those two are probably the best in the 15th without a doubt.

Nick Maronde - Lex Cath. Absolutely dominant.

Ross- LCA

Tyler Heineman from Greenup Co. is one of the best. He has something like 45 K's in 21 innings so far this year. DOMINANT!

Daniel Webb at Heath has all kinds of pro scouts following him. Some feel he could get drafted late in the first round.

Eric Sanders #44 Scott County, 4-1 record Only lost against a very good Henry Clay team. 48K's in 27 innings pitched. 87-89 on the gun. Great control pitcher. Secondary postion SS and 3rd base. 400+ batting avg. with 1 hr so far this season.. ERA

Nick Maronde for Lex Cath is by far the best in the state. Struck out 9 straight agains Tates Creek the other day, had 12 K's in his second win of the season.

agreed :thumb:

Roenker from Holy Cross in NKY? Sophomore but iced the highly ranked Beechwood Tigers' bats and throws very well.

Maronde rocked by PRP 13 -0 in 6 innings. Robbie Ross LCA great outing vs. Tates Creek in 2-1 win.

No doubt in my mind he is the best....

Tanner Perkins from Rockcastle County ranks up there in the 12th Region if not the state. When he's on the bump for the Rockets, they'll compete with anyone.

Roenker definately has the potential to be great. It also helps that he's a sophomore and will only get better with experience.

J.T. Shelley - Williamsburg

Maronde did not pitch against PRP yesterday.
