Aaron Mayfield of LaRue County has to be at the top of the list. All he has done is throw back to back perfect games.

Maronde did not pitch against PRP yesterday.

So did he get rocked for 13 or not?

I stand corrected I was texted that Maronde pitched against PRP. I rechecked the journal box And he was not listed as having pitched.

You are correct. I was texted that he pitched against Cox. I went to the courier journal site and rechecked box and he was not listed.

That sounds right... I doubt any team in Ky would light him up for 13...

ross-lca, maronde-lex cath, webb-heath not necessarily in that order. these 3 are leaps and bounds about all pitchers in the state. all 3 will make great college\pro pitchers. all 3 are projected in the first few rounds of the draft. maronde struck out 17 tates creek batters in 8 innings hitting 93 mph on the radar gun 5 or more times and was consistantly in low 90s. he is the most dominant in my opinion and has the better upside than the others. ross also has a very high upside. havent seen much of webb so i cannot account for him

Nick Maronde for Lex Cath is by far the best in the state. Struck out 9 straight agains Tates Creek the other day, had 12 K's in his second win of the season.

I would disagree with this, if I am not mistaken Ross is predicted to be better? I think Ross is the better pitcher.

Scouts have Ross with the most upside, he is the best athlete.

Brandon Martin of Harrison Co.:fire:

Cody Elliott of Beechwood has a sick knuckle with some good velocity.

After having watched Nichols for Dixie last night, I'd have to say he'd be up there somewhere. Throws very hard (mid-to-upper 80's), nice curve that he can get over for strikes (weapon missing for a lot of good pitchers), and another pitch that he threw once or twice last night but I couldn't make out what it was (perhaps just a change). Oh, and add in the fact that he seems to have very nice control.

If the number of scouts in attendance is any barometer, then Ross of LCA and Maronde of Lexington Catholic have to be real high on the list. Maronde lost to Ross last night, 2-1; lowering his career HS record to 31-2.

Daniel Webb of Heath will pitch against St. Xavier on Saturday in the LIT. Webb had 40+ pro scouts at his first game and they're still showing up. There is a possibility he will be a late first-round pick in the draft.
