Tough drive for Lincoln to make after school on a Friday. 7:00 CST start. Hoptown made that trip last year and it ain't easy. Should be a good game on senior night at the Stadium of Champions.

Madisonville and Hopkinsville have been playing each other since 1907, however, they did not play in 1983 and 1984 seasons. Played at least one game every other year, and in many years played twice.

Agree 100% Saw this team in a scrimmage earlier this year and they looked like they had a lot of good athletes. They took Christian County to the wire at Hopkinsville, and had a chance to win/tie but fumbled inside Christian's 30 with a couple munutes to go. That was early - They go from that to losing to Muhlenberg South?:eek:

Hopkinsville and Christian County played for the West Kentucky Conference JV Championship last night. Hopkinsville won 14 - 8 in overtime. Great last minute come back by the Colonels. Overall, an exciting and well played game on a cold and windy night.

I don't see Ft Campbell losing this year.

Hopkinsville travels to Warren Centeral on Friday. Hopkinsville has won two in a row evening their record to 4-4 after 4 consecutive losses. They beat Ohio Co last week and finished 3rd in the district behing Chrisian County and Owensboro. Warren Central is at 2-6 and had a surprising loss to Grayson Co last week. They also finished thrid in their district behind Bowling Green and Grayson Co. This was going to be a first round plaff preview if both teams had won last week. Predictions?

I wouldn't be so sure. Trigg played Christian County down to the wire. This game could very easily be much closer than 35-10. The Falcons embarassed Trigg last year, so look for Trigg to play with a lot of intensity. May not do them any good, but the Falcons better not take them lightly.

Ft Campbell 35-10

Having played against both teams. I would say last year's team was slightly better for a couple of reasons. Frist, the QB was a leader and a stud, and second I think last year's team was more physical on defense. That's not a knock on this year's QB. This year's team is more diverse offensively and seems much more comfortable throwing the ball. Both very good teams obviously, but I'd give the edge to last year’s squad.

Hoptown was down by 14 points twice in the game, the last time was with 6 min to go. Score was 35-34, both teams score within the last two minutes, but Mercer muffs the snap on the XPt and that allows Hoptown to tie it. I believe Hoptown scored 20 points in the 4th quarter and never led until they score the winner in OT. After a very long bus ride (Mercer Co did it last year), this was a good win for the Tigers.

I tend to agree with this poll more than the others. :thumb:

BLUF is that playing on Saturday is not ideal. Friday nights are reserved for high school football, that's when games should be played, or at least every effort should be made to play on Friday night. If it means the kids miss a couple of hours of class so they can play and get back before 3 am.

Mmm, first I've heard of that. I'm sure there are lots of schools guilty if that is in fact the rule. Is that something the Board at the District can waive, be deligated down to administrators? If not, how are teams, like Hopkinsville, supposed to leave at 3:30 central time, make a 5 hour bus trip, and get there by game time? Unless the KHSAA is going to mandate who plays who to limit travel time. That doesn't make sense and it seems there a lot of other schools and a lot of other sports, clubs, etc., that leave for trips during school hours.

Your priorities are in the right place.

Take the Western Kentucky Parkway toward Paducan to the Hopkinsville exit, then the Pennyrile Parkway toward Hopkinsville/Ft Campbell and stay on it until it ends (there is a new section that just opened last week). When it ends take a right and go about a half mile and you'll see the stadium on the left. Have a safe trip.
