How many innings would anyone expect Nichols to throw after just 1 days rest?

I'd hope that they have been hitting the ball well lately, lets face it, their district is the least talented in the region:thumb:

Is it true that rain out days do not count as days rest for pitchers?

And I believe the last time CovCath faced Smallwood they came away with a 6-3 victory.

When Isler needs to, he can touch higher 80's somewhere close to 88 on a good day. Nutini, on the other hand, was consistently clocked at 82 last summer.

:thumb: There is no excuse Beechwood can use as to why Elliott didn't start other than that they were saving him. He has been pitching in big games for them all year, and this one was no different. Now, if Beechwood would have won, Meyerhoff would have looked like the smartest coach in the tournament. But that didn't happen, and I don't know how anyone could look at Boone County right now and think that they could bring anything but their best against them and come out with a win. Very risky decision that just did not pay off.

Nichols pitch all 5?

Congrats to Danny and his family. He will be joined by a handful of other Northern Kentucky players.

Dixie was up 7-1. Towles and Nichols were both throwing.

Just curious, was the kid who pitched against Cov Cath today the same pitcher who shut down Conner a week ago?

A lot of people taking Boone first round. Surprising. I think IF Dixie pitches Nichols they win pretty easily. And I'll go with Beechwood, New Cath, and CovCath from there on.

I agree. I do not see them throwing Elliot unless they are down 2 or 3 runs.

At the same time, the runner never made it to the plate. He picked it up and tagged the runner as he was lying infront of the plate. He NEVER got to home.

I would think Nutini will throw for CovCath and Smith (?) for beechwood. Should be a good game but with CovCath having their best 3 pitchers on full rest, they might be able to pull this one out in a close 7-5 game.

I don't know who will be on which sides of which bracket, but I'd say the two best teams are CovCath and Beechwood by a stretch.
