I don't see their offense as very powerful. I know pitching and defense can take you far but I think everyone in my top 5 is just a little better. The only exception I see is maybe Beechwood.

I agree 100% he's a good high school player but I still cannot see Luke putting up any numbers far below what he has done the past couple years. And to say Etcheid can do what he's done would be a little insane. You can argue he might hit .500, you can argue he's on of the top 7 pitchers in the 9th region, but can he hit .550+ with 50+ RBI's and 7 or 8 home runs? Those numbers, I'm afraid, I can't see him touching.

Not saying Etscheid isn't a solid player all around but to say POY potential is a little crazed.

I think he would have if he had not committed to UK.

There have been more than 10 schools that have offered him full rides when he decides but he is more focused on LSU who have offered him a spot but are waiting out any actually "offers." Georgia and MSU are a couple other teams that offered him a spot.

I'm not going to name 5 but I'll say 2006 Highland's/Cov Cath regular season would be on everyone's top 5 if they were there. Last second touchdown catch in that intense of an environment on the 3 yard line. Beautiful pass and even better catch. Great Game.

Luke had a slight bruise on his knee but is, in fact, 110%. From what I've heard he performed very well in the showcase and was accepted on to play in California.

I agree. Anyone beating around the bush here is simply out of wack. The only thing controversial and actually fit for discussion is the punishment of the catcher and whether or not the pitcher was informed.

Go to Youtube and find the video. It shows in slow motion and its a called curveball that the catcher intentionally dropped down too far on purpose. He was dropping down to block the ball before the ball was halfway to the plate. The pitcher IMO was informed because i dont know of many pitchers that throw a curveball at the face of the Umpire.

Please explain exactly how he was "outcoached". I'm fairly sure that Cov Cath just didn't hit well and had a few defensive lapses and the coach is not the one in the batter's box or making the plays in the field.

They tried him in the first 7 or 8 games in the beginning of the season. He was not getting on base as much as they had wanted so they moved him down in the lineup.

There is no winner in this argument. If your save your best for the finals, and win the first two, you're a genius, if you lose first round not throwing your best, you're considered the dumbest coach in KY.

No, Jeremy Connor did not throw against Cov Cath in either of their 2 matchups.

He is right that the umps were terrible. However he should not feel slighted as the awful calls went both ways

I think Niehaus will start in this one. Nutini, throwing 4 innings on Wednesday, will probably be in relief. I'll take CovCath as long as they make the plays defensively.
