Shelby Valley has a nice team but not close to the number 1 team in the state. Winning the Class A is nice but you will find the competition level in the sweet 16 will be much different and much tougher.

I have always thought Franklin Co was a top 10 team.

The most amazing thing about parents is that they have never played or been around ball in their lifetime and they have a kid that plays sports and all of a sudden the parent becomes an authority on the game. :ylsuper:

That was no bad beating at all. In the 90's ,Jackson City beat Woodbridge Academy 215-28. Ed Lowdenback was coaching Jackson City at that time and wanted to set a new national scoring record. Mike Fields wrote about it in this week's Lex Herald.:dancingpa

Sounds like a lot of weak teams in the Class A this year. Elliott and Shelby Valley will be the big game of the tournament. I plan to be there to see that one.:ylsuper:

I can remember when the CLASS A TOURNAMENT was just getting started. All the games were played in the Northern Ky area of Newport and Covington. Stan Steidel was the one who put it all together back then in the early, mid 80's. I was coaching a small school and had a good team and Stan called and invited us that year, I think 1984. Later it became much bigger and moved it to Richmond. I go about every year for one day.Really enjoy it.

I wouldn't. If I was Ferg , I'd sign in a minute. A 6'1" forward playing D1 ball. That would be pretty impressive.
