Guard play for Elliott is always phenomental. I love it, a great team from a small school.:taz:

I heard Clark Co defeated Paris and Montgomery Co easily. Will only the winners of the districts compete in the regional or is it like the varsity, winners and runner-up teams compete.:confused:

They had better be focused on Mason Co. They have a very good team.They're pretty strong in every phase of the game and their only weakness is their free throw shooting. :taz: May suffer some from claustrophobia in that smaller gym.

Do you think Scott Co would be a contender to win their region if it weren't for transfers ?:confused:

I'm not from Montgomery ,but sure enjoyed the regional tournament there last year. Chair back seats on the front row. Don't get no better than that!!!!!!!!!!!! Would love to see the Elliott Co -Mason Co game, should be a classic. Two good teams.

I remember MMI would fill one side of the gym with their students and as soon as the JV game would start, they would chant, "Go back, go back, go back to the woods ,your coach is a farmer and your team is no good". They chanted that for the entire JV and the Varsity game. Sure got old but looking back ,it was funny.:dancingpa

Let's take the last minute of the game and let's consider all the questionable calls. First when Gilbert was dribbling and fell with the ball and slid a couple of feet on the floor, that's a walk. Number 2 ,when Middleton took the ball to the basket and walked two steps and Clark got called for the block. Should again ,have been a walk and could have been called a charge. Clark should have had the ball in either case with the score tied. Stenzel did get bumped but why were the defensive players even close when he was that distance from the basket. If Stenzel would have missed 2 of those free throws , nothing would have been said about that call. It was said on one of these quotes that fouls shouldn't be called on last second shots, and I ask why not, the clock is still running and the game is stilled going on. I saw that happen in a middle school game where a boy shot the ball with 2 seconds remaining and was clobbered and there was a no call. When asked , the official said "you just don't make calls like that with 2 seconds left" and I thought ,how stupid. :taz:

Just glad to get the win. Kids were emotionally and physically drained from the game with Mason Co. The game today wasn't very pretty with too many forced shots . It's been a very good weekend anyway.:taz:

Some people just don't understand talent level . Except for Elliott co, Bardstown and Shelby Valley, that had to be the worse group of teams of any Class A tournament that has ever been.
