I’ve heard a few people in Columbus might be forming an NIL fund. I’m telling you in a few short years, unless you can pay nearly every starter a salary, you are going to be a second class program. I’ve had people ask me how much I’d donate annually to player salaries. We won’t recognize CFB by the end of the decade unless they find a way to control NIL. Alabama picked up a 5 star corner and and a 5 star RB transfer this week. We’re living in a day and age where Papa John could call Will Levis and offer him a million dollars to come to UL next year.

Bama has added two 5 star transfers in the last 2 weeks. We thought they were far ahead before NIL, they could double or triple gap everyone soon.

AUSTIN — On Monday, a new nonprofit organization pledged to pay all Texas scholarship offensive linemen $50,000 per year. In exchange, each Longhorn lineman will grant Horns with Heart access to utilize their Name, Image and Likeness (NIL) and participate in charitable causes. The entity, founded by six Texas alumni, eventually plans to extend its reach to other positions. But “The Pancake Factory” will be its first official initiative. The future of recruiting is here…Texas jumped to #5 overall in recruiting over the last few weeks.

I haven’t heard anything that’s likely good news for OSU. He was very unhappy this season and they hid that well. He came back and played though, that was the key. Who knows in this day and age. OSU just lost a kid to Texas over a booster writing a check to get him. That’s what OSU is talking about today, telling the admin they need the ability to do the same.

Pretty sure OSU relies on a couple of freshman this year, with a few grad transfer guys. They seem to be overachieving so far. I guess it will come down to which coach can get more out of his young guys.
