  1. Of course anything is possible but Manual's late game play has been better than it's begining game play in the last two games. Also I would think the pressure would be a higher over on the T side, especially if the game has to be decided near the end.
  2. Wow, I didn't see that coming... I am a little interested in how this game will play out. Most of what I'm hearing is that this game is being treated as an expected win, or at least many of the fans are giving me that impression. Now I know "NOTHING" about this current Miami OH squad but I know the program has had it's cycles of success over the years. I also would agree that there are some "trap game" elements at play also.
  3. If I weren't planning on attending the Manual/Trinity game I would be highly motivated to watch this matchup. These are two athletic offensive units going at each other. From what I saw of Fern Creek last week I think they can have a very successful season this year. I thought they had some next level talent on there squad and when they bring it together like they did against Manual they will be a tough out for every team not named StX. Seneca has lost some big names on thier offense yet they've managed to put up big numbers so far. I'm going to pick Fern Creek in what I believe will be a great game.
  4. As a Manual fan my biggest concern is the lack of a passing game for the Crimsons. Coming into this game so one dimensional on offense really gives T and advantage in that they can focus almost entirely on the run. What keeps me hopeful is the fact that I don't think Manual has a bad team and they have been competitive up until the end the two losses that they've had. I am not ruling out a Manual victory in this game.
  5. I disagree with the that kids are less football smart. In mass I actually think the opposite is true.
  6. Thats unfortunate to hear about Brown. I hope he recovers quickly. The final stats on Jerrel Moore 189 yards rushing 129 yards receiving 2 rushing TD's and 2 receiving TD's. Another side note, I didn't realize this until the game but the lady and gentleman who where killed in the test drive auto crash here in Louisville where the mother and grandfather of Manual's Daquane Drane. Drane scored three TD's for Manual last night.
  7. As a Manual fan I can't help but feel sick, we simply couldn't afford to lose this game if we wanted a solid record. But giving credit where credit is due Fern Creek was on fire offensively tonight. Jerrell Moore of Fern Creek absolutely shredded Manual tonight. I don't know what kind of a season he had last year but if he can repeat the performance he had tonight I think he could be Mr Football, he was outstanding. When the full stats come out he will probably have over 200yrds receiving and 4 TD's. Altogether I was tremendously impressed with the firepower on Fern Creeks team, and tonight they were firing.
  8. He may be a hyper egoed control freak adulterer, but he's our hyper egoed control freak adulterer.
  9. There is a lot of hype out there about Eastern. Right now I'm not sold. Male 35 Eastern 21 Go ahead Eagles and change my mind.
  10. How Male gets a first place vote is beyond me. Frakes at the CJ posts his votes on his blog (which I think is the right thing to do). Do the others do this also? Further more who are the other voters.

  12. He's a control freak without control. I feel his pain. I understand what he did but I wouldn't advise him to have done it.
  13. I can say with 100% honesty that that I didn't find this out until Friday but Woodmore the qb had an injury that held him out of the Ballard scrimmage completely. He was our #1 reciever last season so I (and I assume the people who did the webcast I listened to of the Ballard game probably) thought he was just lined up at WR for the scrimmage and had a quiet night. I don't know how much practice he missed either, which could be big early in the season.
  14. RM I appreciate your support, but the argument isn't even worth getting into. One will always find what they are looking for if they look hard enough. Manual is farthest from a dirty program that it isn't worth responding to.
  15. I suppose it is just a regional difference, but most games I watch are much, much, much more nasty on the field than that game.
  16. This is fairly common place activity in football nowdays. I'm somewhat surprised you are shocked by it. Also the late hit was a rare exception in that game and the Manual coaches pulled the player out immediately. It was bad, but from my vantage point it was more stupid bad than malicious bad.
  17. Typo in the Collinsworth part, he switched to rb not qb.
  18. Scribe, I as I'm sure many others appreciate and look forward to your notebooks. Thanks:thumb:
  19. This is a must win for Manual if they want a halfway decent record. I didn't know at the time but the Manual qb Derek Woodmore didn't play at all during the Ballard scrimmage due to injury. I'm not certain how much if any practice he missed, but I think having a full game under his belt against Highlands will really help this Manual offense. Last week against Highlands the offense had no consistency until the fourth quarter. If they can get settled in earlier (like the 1st quarter) they might be able to put some decent numbers up. Defensively I think Manual could be in for a very good year. So long as we limit big plays from speedsters we have the ability to shut teams out. The "superfan" side of me wants to see that in this game, but that may be asking to much. I haven't heard a lot of positive coming out of the Fern Creek play in there scrimmages, but one shouldn't make to much of practice games. Prediction Manual 28 Fern Creek 7

  21. I support this idea. (At least you will never have to handle the party planning ever again)
  22. This is not the same thing. If this were to happen I would entirely blame the coach. But in the actual scenario I was no less than eight yards from the coach who was speaking in my direction. The coach adequately protected the play from the opposing team. Also (to the many many posters this includes) the fact that they probably aren't listening is acknowleged in the question. To use it as a point sidesteps the question.
  23. Shawnee quietly went 6-5 last season playing one of the easiest schedules in the Louisville area. However the fact that they did achieve a winning record is a great accomplishment with respect to the historic mediocrity they have had. Two of their five losses came to a strong Central team who Shawnee played close in the first of those match ups. I'll predict Shawnee for this one.
