  1. Final From the radio broadcast it sounded like a classic example of men vs boys. Physically Colerain whipped Manual in every area. Could have been worse as teams started subbing in the 3rd qtr when the final score had already been achieved. I was glad to see Woolridge get some work at qb with Woodmore in at reciever as we may need this changeup at times. CardinalsFan I tried to catch some of your radio broadcast but it didn't come through for me. I hope you guys had fun. Also good luck the rest of the season.
  2. Target is more upscale than Wal-Mart and that will continue to be it's niche. Target isn't going anywhere simply on the fact that there will always be a rather large group of people who want a little better than the bottom if for nothing else than prestige.
  3. Kragthorpe's last stand in my opinion. I think UK wins by +4TD's. If we lose by less then that it means UK stinks also.
  4. I don't think you did, but please don't take it as offensive at all. I used those examples because most people on here know very little about Fern Creek but a lot about those teams. Jerrell Moore is Mr Football type good, no question in my mind about that.
  5. Fern Creek has an outstanding offense. They have better talent on that side of the ball then both Trinity and Highlands. I don't know how strong Franklin TN is but I think Fern Creek has the ability to go undefeated with the rest of it's schedule.
  6. scoutschoice I think you walked into a hornets nest on this one but I agree with what you are saying. Regardless of how others want to spin it, you feel a greater sense of hope with the presidency of Obama, and not only that but you also feel you can project that hope onto future generations. I think thats a good thing.
  7. I'll say that the actual booing is much more subdued than it was during the initial fall from grace. Most of the fans aren't getting angry about it anymore they are laughing about it to dull the pain.
  8. I read on one message board that some assistant who moved from Memphis with Cal got fired/released and is now spilling ugly beans. Is this accurate or completely made up?
  9. Never, if I want the news I go the CNN MSNBC FOXNEWS route.
  10. Thanks CF and I appreciate the offer. It wouldn't have bothered me to have the game on Sat but I don't know the reasons for not changing it, which could be legitimate (like the coaches might have had other plans for Sat or the administation didn't approve of it for "who knows why"). But it is what it is. I sent you a pm reply and a followup I hope they help.
  11. I continue to hate the fact that these polls are out this early. There should be no polls until at least four weeks into it. If we had simply watched the weeks games and then ranked the teams we would have a much better starting point for the season.
  12. What is bothering is the insinuation that the President of the United States of America would say things that are detrimental to children. It shows no respect to the man or the office.
  13. Sorry CardinalsFan I didn't catch the game on TV. From what I can tell from the scores is that we similar issues in getting TD's. In the first game against Highlands I could point to mistakes that stumbled Manual up. It was somewhat to be expected as our QB had missed some practice due to injury and we had to replace so many players. Then they play reasonably well on O against Fern Creek. But I had no idea Fern Creek had so much talent on there own offense. FERN CREEK HAS A BETTER OFFENSE THAN TRINITY OR HIGHLANDS, look out for them this season. We lost a close game to a team that no one realized was going to be so good. Against Trinity we moved the ball but simply didn't punch it in. It hurts Manual that they have no kicking game. I feel like if we had put up three points here or there and the 4th qtr score starts at 13-6 instead of 13-0 I feel like we might of had a little more confidence to stop the game from getting away. The unfortunate fact of all this is that I don't feel like Manual plays bad football, but they don't have the athletes to give us any kind of extra edge. We're not getting 70yrd td's because our rb was able to break through a tackle and speed down the sideline. We are lacking in studs on this team and it has hurt us in these big games. If Colerain is as physically talented as many have mentioned this game might get out of hand. If we can play with Colerain on the line then the game could be competitive. If thier defense can get penetration up the middle then our entire offense can be stopped before it starts, this to me is the key, if Colerain defensive line dominates our oline than this game will be joke. Right now I'm at 50/50 on attending it will depend on when I can get out of work. If I don't get out til after 5:00 I may not make the drive. But if you have any parking tips or suggestions CardinalsFan, I wouldn't mind seeing them.
  14. UC looks like pre-Krag UofL. In all seriousness I love watching UC play nowadays they are exciting.
  15. I've also heard that this was retracted as not his doing. But another rumor going around is that he was asked to go in the Indiana St game and refused rather profanely. It is also said that at least four players were not allowed to play for unspecified reasons. It is worth saying that this is all message board garble and after such and underwhelming performance these sort of things can take a life of thier own with very little reality behind them.
  16. I've been stunned the last two years that Lou St X did not win the title (Not to take anything away from the outstanding job Trinity has done in the championship games) I've felt that Lou St X has really really good these last few years. I completely believe that they can play on the Ohio level and will not at all be shocked or even surprised if they win.
  17. Ugly ugly ugly. I went to the restroom right after we retook the lead. While in line one guy shouts "Burke stinks" then shortly followed by "No Kragthorpe stinks" which received an ovation and shortly followed by a "Bring back Cooper". I think Kragthorpe now has less than 10% of fans supporting him, that doesn't mean the rest of the fans are going to be vocal about it but he has little wiggle room for any mistakes. Unless Louisville beats Kentucky, which I don't expect to happen, I can hardly see a situation where he will be here next season. If there is anything good to come out of the game it is that we have shown a lot of weaknesses, and that can be a good thing if you put your work in to improve upon them.
  18. I'm really not suprised, Fern Creek has great offensive weapons.
  19. If you don't score you can't win, and if you don't score you can't expect your defense to hold on for the whole game. Manual does some things okay but this game revealed the glaring lack of talent on the Crimson offensive side of the ball. The only speed we have at all is in our qb and he isn't even that fast. Trinity is not as powerful as they have been in the past but they are still plenty good enough to challenge anyone for the championship. Even if the passing game is a shell of itself they are still very strong in every other area to be a problem for anyone. Congrats Trinity
  20. Ding ding ding ding.... The nation has gone insane when the idea of the president addressing school children becomes a political football.
  21. It could have been 19-15. But I don't otherwise see how it would have been different. Also there aren't ten teams on that list that I would favor over Manual.
  22. Under your logic the rest of 6A should probably just go ahead and fold football because they have very little shot at winning the championship. If winning the championship is the only reason you play the game your playing the game for the wrong reason IMHO. Why on earth should I as a fan of a 6A school care that smaller schools would have unsurmountable odds when they obvioulsy don't care about our situation. I mean if the situation is okay for us to deal with it should be okay for everyone.
  23. I understand that the issue isn't easy I just think the current solution makes 5/6ths happy at the detriment to the 1/6th, which I see as wrong. A no class system would work regionally like most of the other sports. Probably in this case you would have 32 districts of 6 or 7 teams, the top two of each district go to the playoffs. If they had a hard number structure you would most likely have three classes with a small number little class and a small number big class with a huge middle class but I don't see why that would have to be a problem.
  24. I wouldn't have classes at all, but IF numbers are going to matter they should matter, and the classes should be on a scale of 0 to 400 then 400 to 800 and so on. Just lumping them into groups based on where they are sequentially is not right.
  25. Still my biggest issue with it is that it contradicts itself by the way it treats most 6A schools. Here are the gaps (these are from the original realignment nubmers, so a particular schools pop will change) between the classes 1A 0 to 235 2A 244 to 331 3A 332 to 409 4A 411 to 501 5A 502 to 650 6A 660 to 1420 If a gap of 200 boys is to much for a 2A school to deal with in playing a 3A school how is acceptable for a 6A school to have to compete with a school with 700 more boys. My point is't about how much size matter (I'm actually for no classes) but that classes 1 through 5 are treated in one way and 6A in a complete other.
