  1. And what good does that do you if you don't have access to it or it bankrupts you?
  2. Compared to what we lose with the current system, I'll take the reform.
  3. They arrested a man for argueing over an issue in which he was right.
  4. Obama was right, it was absurd for a man to be arrested after he proved he was at his own residence. Anyone else caught in the same situation would feel the same way. As far as the press conference goes we know he didn't just answer prepared questions because one of the journalist jumped in and asked questions who was not on his list.
  5. So far I haven't used any yoga blocks I might try bugatti's phonebook idea. I will be going on a trip to Miami in later Sept and I'll definatley continue the series up to that point. After which I may continue or play with it a little adding more of the yoga and core exercises which I feel have been of substancial benefit. I'm waiting to hear how the Yoga went for Mr Hindsight, it sure was an eyeopener for me.
  6. Just some comments I have on the workouts Chest and Back- I kind of wonder why they elected to make this the first workout in the regular system, especially if your not in great shape to begin with it is incredibly intimidating. So many push-ups and pull ups I think I was maxing as few as 3 or 4 in my second go arounds on the first day. Plyo- As I said before I've really adapted to this workout. While I can't keep up with the fast Jump knee tucks I feel I can do everything else pretty well. Arms and Shoulders- Being I'm on my recovery week after the three weeks of the other workouts I'm having a little trouble remembering all that is involved on this one. I know chair dips and arm circles have become much much easier for me. Yoga- I'm still struggling with the later parts of the moving section particularly the movements involving and after warrior 3. I simply can not keep my leg up in the air that whole time and constantly fall out of it. I also have trouble with the part of the ab section where you twist and hold your legs to the side while laying down. Legs and back- I don't do to well with these exercises at all really. I really struggle with my balance on all of the one legged squat moves, I think it is preventing me from going as low as I'm supposed to. Also the wall squats are still really tough for me, I can't do the single legged wall squats at the moment. Kenpo- I think this is the easiest of the workouts. With that said I definatley feel like I can throw a better punch than before I started this workout. I don't have any problems now but the first couple times I absolutley could not get the punch sequences right for the jab/cross/hook/uppercut I was a mess at the beginning. Chest Tricept Shoulders- I get killed on the very first pushup excercise, those slow pushup just drain me from the get go. Because of this I feel I get less out of the chest than I do from the other workout, I also think the shoulders aren't worked as well on this workout either but I do think the tricept part of this one is superior. Back and Bicept- SO MANY CURLS. I actually love this one and find it very doable the pump you get out of this workout is truly extreme. Core Synegistics- As I said earlier I personally find this to be one of the toughest to get through. By the time I've got to the Prison pushups I'm wiped out. So far I've only done this one three times (number 4 is tomorrow). The plank run, sphinx pushups, bow to boat, and superman banana just kill me. Ab ripper- I don't think I was nearly in good enough shape to begin the ab ripper. I probably didn't do a single move in a quality manner when I started. I still have issues with fifer scissors and I find the pulse ups very difficult to do with my hands on the floor (I will often put my hands behind my head). But on all the other excercises I've improved a great deal.
  7. The first time I did the yoga I did it in a garage on a hot day. I have done many type of physical exercise in my life but I have NEVER sweat so much as I did that day. I was absolutely floored at just how intense and beneficial I have found the yoga to be. I don't really know exactly what my plan of action will be when I've finished my 90 days but I defiantly plan to incorporate the yoga as a lifetime activity. I now do the yoga in air conditioning.
  8. But I've heard the standards have not yet been set. Do you have a link to what those standards are? I don't at all think it is wrong for the government to have some sets of standards for the type of heath insurance that can be offered. If a plan is worthless it does little or nothing to effect the problems we have today with the Healthcare system. I recognize that there are many who don't think the government can walk and chew gum at the same time, for them any type of government oversight is scary, but I don't know whether the health care system has the will, interest, or capability to fix itself. But I think all of this argueing is really rather pointless until we are aware of what those standards actually are.
  9. I still wouldn't classify the activity of the White House as slow by any means. I think the attempt to classify them as such is an inaccurate attempt at making them look bad. You can hate every single policy of the Obama administration, but you can't say it hasn't been effective. Now lets look at the other side of the arguement, you say that the Dems want to run everything through so fast that no one knows what is going on. The counter arguement is that the Republicans are playing a full on stall game. They know they don't have the majority and they don't agree with the policies so the only tactic they have to play is to try to limit as much as they can. I think it is a mix of two things, A. They simply don't agree with the policy, and B. They absolutely don't want the Dems to get credit for attacking these long lingering problems that have effected the nation.
  10. I'm confused, are they A. Bogged down or B. Moving to fast
  11. But isn't that only if it doesn't meet the new standards of insurance?
  12. I'm currently in my seventh week. I still can't do a pull up on my own however I definalty feel progress in my back from doing the chair pullup versions. I'm a big guy especially in the lower body and that particular excercise is tough for my build. I personally find Core synergistics to be the most difficult to get through. Plyo seems overwhelming at first but the body (or at least my body) seems to adapt to it very well, now I get through it with a little energy to burn. The P90X recovery drink taste very good and I got it with my system to begin with. I found it to be tasty and desireable, but it only lasted about a month. I found it to be incredibly expensive (like $45) when I looked to reorder some so instead I bought a $20 cheap brand at Kroger, and it tasted horrible. Since that bottle ran out I have not gotten any more. I can not say with any certianty that those drinks were or were not a benefit. Now that I've been working without them I still see results so I don't plan on getting anymore.
  13. I saw a bumper sticker today, it said "The more you know, the less you believe". I'm not saying that is my opinion, but I thought it relevant to the discussion.
  14. http://www.courier-journal.com/article/20090714/SPORTS03/907140376/1029/State+might+help+pick+up+UK+s+tab+in+Gillispie+suit UK athletics should foot the entire bill for this error.
  15. Unless it has recently been altered, there is NO offical language of the United States.
  16. It is worth trying. Culvers is very simliar to a Dairy Queen in that it is both food and ice cream oreinted (Culvers was started by a former Dairy Queen operater). The food is good despite the opinon of some others, the service is very professional. I would say the service is very good but I have had longer waits than I would like. They have a HUGE menu with everything under the sun on it.
  17. Anyone who believes they can truely act impartialy is either a fool, a liar, or more than a slight bit to self rightous.
  18. Ky court records online show an arraignment date for a Micah Johnson on 7/28/09. This could be unrelated. http://apps.kycourts.net/CourtRecords/Results.aspx You probably have to do the search from the link
  19. I also feel that this is a three win season for the Cards, I hope I'm wrong though.
  20. Sounds like he has his mind made up on any nominee of Obama.
  21. Politicians use the phrase because that is how people vote. People vote that way because the familiar, even when bad, is less scary than the unfamiliar. Your error Jim is in searching for rational behavior in irrational beings.
  22. Speaking of traffic I used to live in Atlanta (which has traffic worse than Lex) and I really felt the traffic degregaded the quality of life. I mean it really didn't matter that there were a thousand more things to do if had little to no desire to deal with the traffic involved to do them. From my travels I would also state that comparing any cities traffic to Louisville's isn't fair. Louisville, with a few exception areas, has probably the best traffic flow of any city its size or bigger, that I've experianced.
  23. There are at least two other Buckheads that I know of in Louisville those being on Bardstown rd (just west of Watterson) and near the Summit on 42. Jeffersonville is across the river in Indiana, Jeffersontown (or J-town) is one of the larger Louisville suburbs including areas on Hurstbourne and Taylorsville Rd.
