Defense is ahead of the offense at this point. They look very strong up front. Oline is playing with several combinations. Kragthorpe looked good for the most part, Xavier Thomas looks like a stud in the back field. Receiving corps are very deep and fast. We'll know much more after Moehler visits this Friday night.

Not a bad outing. Coaches did a real good job of mixing it up and keeping it going. 1-D vs. 2-O, 1-0 vs. 2-D, 3's etc. Team looked excited.

Early and tuff to tell from the scrimmage. School will be in Friday night.

Thanks guys. What time is the scrimmage on Friday night?

7 OR 7:30 - depending on the Heat Index. Sorry I could not be more helpful but that was what they were saying the other night.

Should be a good one and let us know where we are. M is supposed to have some D-1 talent.

As usual, I think the Shamwows will be a season-long work in progress. I hear that the current offensive line stands 6'5", 6'5", 6'4", 6'4" and 6'4" . They are not heavy but evidently can move fairly well. Good luck to the boys.

I got my season tickets today. I'm ready for the coin flip!!!!!!!!!!!

This Friday will be Moeller's first scrimmage of the season. Bear in mind, they have been in pads less than a week and didn't see coaches until last Monday (8/3). With no spring ball or summer practice, Ohio is at a clear disadvantage to most states.

That being said, would love to be in Louisville on Friday for this "game". Moeller is stacked at DLine and LB with multiple D-1 players. I can't imagine Trinity having much success running the football. Throwing should be an easier path.

On the other side of the ball, word has it that Moeller's top two RB's won't be scrimmaging so the emphasis may be on the pass. The Crusaders are breaking in all new WR's and they need to get in sync with their Notre Dame bound QB, Andrew Hendrix. He's as big or bigger than most of your lineman, by the way.

Good luck, stay healthy. Moeller has a history of playing a little to "aggressive" during their scrimmages. Or maybe that's just against us. :sssh:

One question? Want do you mean that Moeller had not seen their coaches until 8/3.Both Highlands and CovCath had 7 on 7's with them in July and at the CovCath game, the coaches were talking about want they worked on in the morning practice.

By that I meant two-a-day type practices with the entire team. That doesn't happen in Ohio until August. Maybe the same in KY, not sure, but in Ohio, I know that we seem to get started later than most.

Then again, our first regular season game is not until The last week of the month.

As is ours....

I stopped by practice today. The energy seemed awesome...it was very intense, especially at this time of year. I feel this crew of Rocks know that they'll have to be on their "A" game to bring home the "W's" that are expected by the masses...

Here's our chief looking over a period of a very intense fall camp practice.

Do we have a time for the scrimmage? 7:00 or 7:30?

Is Moeller's QB going to Notre Dame on a scholarship? I hear he is really good-sized.

They'll likely start around 7:30...

Let's go Rocks :dancingpa

Let's make it worth the trip for the "Big Boys" to travel on down.
