I will go with Paris. They played them very close last year and somehow things fell apart in like the last 4 minutes of the game. However Paris graduated 8 veteran starters last year. So should be interesting, really glad this game is at home this year and not up at the river.

Is Barnes and Purcell starting this week? I read where they had injuries.

My understanding is the new starting QB has never played HS Football, only Middle School. I don't see them being as physical upfront as they were last year.

Paris' Tiion Thomas- I don't know what Paris' line is going to be like this year? But if they can pull something together, Tiion Thomas will be a name you will hear a LOT.

Barnes and Purcell are very fast... If they have a good line with decent blocking, they will score quick and fast ... I thought Bourbon showed much improvement last season. I believe they lost about 12 seniors though (including Wigglesworth). Some of that being the line. I haven't talked to anyone to find out what they are looking like. They should have a nice size freshmen class coming in though, with some good/decent athletes. The freshmen class has over 200 students, so Coach Massie should have some decent guys coming in.

Don't count them out too fast. I thought they were done when they lost the big Senior class with the elder Hayden and company. But it wasn't so, they still came back loaded and put up some numbers.

Well it is good to see Berea back in the district play!

They could try to offer more money to LCA's coach and sway him over to Dunbar?

I think they possibly could look to the Stephens kid ... Tall- athletic- good hands- fast. But I would definetely keep Washington working as the backup. This past season not having an experienced QB totally killed the offense. They had SEVERAL games that were very close but due to lack of experience it would just slip away from them in the last quarter of the game.

He has the receivers to do so and the speed. He will have to find a QB.

I will... From what I read, sounds like he is ready to get started. And sounds like he is very excited about being at Paris, he was/is good friends with one of the former coaches. Sounds positive, not interested in any of the negatives. It was a nice write-up/article, they had a picture in there of him meeting with the football players... Personally I can't wait till we hear the sound of those pads hitting!:thumb:

Sounds like Paris hired well. There is an article in the Paris newspaper today about him, haven't had time to read it yet, but give me time, I WILL!
