2008 Lexington Christian

Featured Replies

What does Lexington Christian need to do to improve in 2008? What do they need to keep doing to be successful? Remember, please be constructive.

Did they lose a lot from last years team?

Losses due to graduation:

LCA Offense:

Duff (Line)

Hill (Line)

Ledford

Gaffney

LCA Defense:

Ostrander

Duff

Potter

Hill

White

McIntosh

Gaffney

I regret to say that Bluto, Jr (#2) will not be playing (he is a freshman).

Two season-ending broken arms (two years in a row, and in the same spot) have convinced us that football may not be his calling. That's what we call, in the FBI, a "clue".

They will be hard to beat again this year.

I think they will be hard to beat again too... They are fundamentaly strong, and have a good coach. Two good ingredients to have for a football team! I look for them to be contenders once again in the 2008 season.

The Duff kid signed with Georgetown College I believe, and also Gaffney is walking on at Western. Congratulations to them.

LCA lost a lot it seems on both sides of the ball, but they have a ton back on offense, it will probably be more potent than last season?? Not sure about their defense, but if they lost 7 seniors they may be hurting? I think they lost their 2 defensive coaches as well.

I would think they are still the team to beat in that district and top 5-6 in the state as of now.

In that list (8 players) I only listed the starters.

Two other seniors who will be missed are Josh Stanley and Spencer Ross. My apologies for leaving you off the list.

Bluto,

Sorry to hear about your son. Watching mine play (#12 for Beechwood) was the thrill of a lifetime. Does he play any other sports?

Whats the line look like with all those seniors leaving?

Say it isn't so!

Probably depleted, but they do still have the monster at left tackle that started last season as a freshman. But I don't think he can block all 4-5 lineman!! Maybe 2 or 3 though!

He is a good young player, and I stress the word young. made mistakes in the Championship game, onle time will fix. My son played accross from him, and that was his opinion. Feet out of place, stands straight up, thats where he gets beat every time. All and all though, has Div 1 written all over him.

Good Luck

Name maybe?
