Was wondering if Paris has the team this year to be competitive with Mason County? What are their strengths and weaknesses? Really hope this is a good game. Any score predictions?

Mason is down this year. I don't know much about Paris, but if they are physical up front they can win this game.

Am also mystified by Mason County adding Paris and Bourbon County to their schedule the past 2 years. It must be to even out the scheduling of Boone County and Campbell County.

My understanding is the new starting QB has never played HS Football, only Middle School.

I don't see them being as physical upfront as they were last year.

In 2005 and 2006, we paid Frankfort to come to Maysville two years in a row. My thinking was, if we are going to pay someone and help their program, why not help Paris out? When I coached at Paris, unless we played Bourbon or a playoff game, our gates were usually under $2000. Originally, Paris was coming here two years in a row- Coach Brian Washington and I planned that. Brian played WR when I was coaching the WR's as an assistant at Paris. I am very proud of Brian!

 

After we agreed to play, Paris decided it was better to go home and home for them. I went along with it- then we ended up in the bowl at LexCath.

 

That is how we ended up playing each other. We have completed our schedule for 2009 and 2010 and we are not playing Paris. Unless Paris wants to come here for a paycheck- ie. it is something Paris wants to generate money for Paris football, it is unlikely that we will play again for a long time if ever.

Always good to hear from you Coach,actually the scheduling of Paris isn't as big a surprise as Bourbon County(whose program had been going through a long losing streak, as well as other problems), was they scheduled for the same reasons as Paris? Thanks for your comments and answers.
