How has the Boyd season gone? How is the JV and frosh programs?

Tough situation for a proven coach to walk into.....

The coach has to run a system that will work with the kids he has. You can't recruit the kids you need to run a certain system. Coaches that are successful in high school adapt to what they have, not what they want to have.

That is great, but that is not the case in a lot of places.

MC needs to show maturity tonight by staying focused and taking care of business. They need a decisive road win tonight.

Throw some names at us. I hope LC gets a great coach.

Is the football program taking a back seat to basketball? The basketball program seems to have it going on right now. Football does too, but I am just wondering if this had any effect on the decision to leave.

When you take into account the success the basketball program had as well....I believe Highlands may have won that region all 4 years. Lets take basketball into account as well. I think it has to be their best.

Many programs seem to have faced multiple players leaving their teams this season. Any thoughts?

WLEX 18 had an interview with the players and they were claiming its a race issue. Obviously, only those involved in this situation know the facts. I hope its not the case and I hope these young men know the depths of what they are asserting.

Brandon Rash needs to realize how good he can be. He must come out of his shell. I said in the pregame post that this game would reveal the leaders for MC. It clearly did. The top players show up when most needed. The leaders know when its time to take over. Stull, Rash, Crisp, and Clark led the way. They shot the ball well, handled it well, and played hard on defense. They made no excuses for the 1st qtr and they did not look for the back door of the gym. A good win for this team that I think revealed some character.

In the past, MC athletics at the middle school has been poor at best. The high school programs have had to catch up for this poor job at the middle school. This situation has finally been fixed at MC. All programs are now hitting on all cylinders. I expect Montgomery to be competitive with or without a transfer. MC plays with a lot of heart. All the sports programs have kicked it up a notch and the kids play with a ton of heart.

Great games for Crisp, Rash, Clark and Stull. Also, MC got quality minutes from Gibbons. MC's smaller lineup looked impressive. As always, Clark Co. has the talent.

I hope Lincoln gets a high profile HC. But I think you are mistaken if you don't think another high profile coach isn't going to ask himself what he is walking into. We all know French made the decision. You can't make him coach there...but he has had plenty of success. So, why would he leave? Is the basketball program taking a front seat at Lincoln?

Do you think Buchanan will leave Mason? Also, do you think French will be sorry he went to Boyle? No doubt on this, Boyle got a great coach.

I was just joking with you....the name got my attention. I don't think its a big deal...nor should it be. I am not aware of a specific rule on practice, but there is on playing.

We are at the point in the season where leadership plays a huge role. I hope to see a leader emerge fro MC from this game on Friday. Somebody has to step up and be the go to player....and he must deliver.

He would be a great coach anywhere. I think he would have to be kidnapped.
